I really enjoyed the night and it was nice seeing all these people enjoying trance music, yes many of them didn't know the tracks, but they were enjoying the music. Of course the vibe in a club is different than in an afterhour or in a rave, but for a trance event in a club, I think it was a success.

For sure one of the best clubbing nights in MTL of my life.

I'm actually really surprised to hear bad comments about the event. The sound system was really not THAT bad, I met a whole bunch of crazy/nice ppl in front of the stage, and had plenty of space to dance.

And I thought it was pretty cool that Ferry was literally right there, 2 meters away from us.

Overall, had a great fucking time.

And I gotta add, I love that it's the next day and I don't feel nearly as messed up as after an after.

Nope, feeling good and listening to Ferry set and reliving the night in my head

It was my first time at the Millenium. Wasn't impressed. The only thing that I liked about the place is the light show and lasers.

But Ferry...geez. I've been out of the loop for a few months on the latest Trance productions and wasn't up to date on Ferry's latests sets. I didn't know what to exepect, but the music was awesome. Seriously, I was shocked when I heard a remix of BT - Flaming June at the end of the night. It was incredible ! And a remix of For An Angel by PVD...

I love Ferry. He's a good producer, not all his songs are good, but he's an awesome DJ. Epic night, epic Trance. When you can stop dancing and listen to the music while having as much fun, that's me.

Even if the Millenium wasn't my type, Ferry made it worth the 20$ and even more.

Wow I just listened to those 2 songs and got a massive flashback from last night.

Anyone remember what the last 2 tracks he played were? Like almost when the lights were coming back up..

One of them was a super classic but on the spot I couldn't remember what it was..

Great night, similar to the one of last year, really pack 1/2 Trance Fan, 1/2 Clubbers!
Ferry played a very nice set and by the way:
He didn't play Lethal Industry he played Barber - Adagio for String (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Didn't play Rock you Body Rock he drop at the end Veracocha -Carte Blanche
I like Trance in a club I was home at 4am normally that's the time the headliners starts at Circus or Red-Lite! Next one Richard Durand @ Opera should be great also!

@klobo: Yeah I was in front of the stage basically for the 3 hours Ferry was on. Left the d-floor for a total of like 5 minutes to go grab a beer. I think I remember the sound being a bit better 5m away from the Ferry then right in front, but it was cool at times to be right next to the man himself and just go nuts.

That being said, I saw Ferry at Cream Amnesia in Ibiza, arguably one of the best clubs in the world...and while that was absolutely incredible, I had just as much fun last night being there with there with 6 of my best friends and because the venue was more, I guess, intimate.

Thanks to the guys who posted the track id's. Out of curiosity, how do you guys remember all that the next morning? Audiographic memory?

Very expensive like everywhere in Ibiza! I went to Cream closing party last year Eddie Halliwell & Paul Van Dyk, reduce entrance and presale where like 45 Euro if not it would have cost us like 60 Euro just to get in! It's a pretty impressive club so pack it's insane!
There's 2 Trance nights @ Amnesia: Armada (Armin and/or Markus) and Cream (Ferry or PVD). If you go to Ibiza I recommand Judgement Sunday @ Eden, great Trance night with Great DJ, very cool vibe!

Of course Ibiza was better in a way, but what I was trying to say is I feel like sometime ppl tend to overanalyze the venue, sound system, etc instead of just being in the moment, enjoying themselves and the fact that a world class DJ is spinning right in front of them.

Most definitely you (and everyone else on this forum) should make the trek to Ibiza at least once in your life, it's something you'll never forget. Not only are the parties amazing, the island itself is also gorgeous and has some of the best beaches you'll ever see.

Here's the schedule for summer 2009: http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/nigh...ates_july_i.htm

There are just sooo many options. The trance nights are Tuesday and Thursday but on Mondays Tiesto fills up Privilege (world's biggest club). If I were to go back, I'd do Tiesto on Monday, a trance DJ on Tuesday, rest up on Wednesday, then go see Ferry at Cream Amnesia on Thursday, and stay for a day or 2 more to just hang out on the beach and relax.

Ticket price for the household names is usually 40euros but it's totally worth it. We're only young once.

LOL I'm the one who took the "pancarte" away!

I don't understand why all the people ahead of me didn't take it?!?
I mean, Ferry signed it and threw it away and everyone did like it was somebody bodysurfin! When it came at me I couldn't believe it...

Anyway, my living room is so nice right now with Ferry on the wall!

Posted by klobo on Jul-06-2009 16:08:

thanks for all the info, but unfortunetly, ferry doesn't play every week, thinking of hitting tiesto monday and armin tueesday.
is tiesto any good??he plays stuff he plays in club life right?how long is the set, worth 75 bux?

I had a blast that night ! The vibe wasn't that bad for my taste, sure it's not like an after but it's better to have Ferry there than nothing !

Out of the blue + For an Angel 2009 were tracks that got me crazy

Wish he'll come back anytime soon !!

I actually haven't gotten to see Tiesto yet. It's on my life to-do list though. I mean, my taste have evolved a bit, but at the same time it's his podcasts that got me into trance music, and he's such a legend anyway..

Privilege is a pretty cool venue too, the DJ booth is like above a big pool. When I was there, a guy who was high off his tree jumped in and somehow security let him swim around for like 5 minutes before getting him out lol..
