Gunsmith Cats <-- epic in all senses of the words, except I have the flipped US translation which sucks cause it is all about US muscle cars and guns, so everything is going the wrong way! But if you like the above, and explosives and drug violence its pretty good.
For example this is the flipped, it should be read left to right, but in Japan its printed right to left... So that JDM supra looks like a US supra. 
I been reading Pastel for the last 3 years as releases come out, its getting pretty fucking boring... Dude needs to stop having wet dreams and fuck his GF...
Finally found the last volume of Beck, which is an amazingly good manga about indie rock bands in Japan. Downloading it right now.
I want to re-read Ichigo 100% but its so fucking cheesy, I'm have to be in a pretty depressed state to read that again...

Yea I have a thing for School Life/High School Romance genres... I never been into a lot of Shonen action manga really. I guess High School Sports manga falls under Shonen?
But yea, I read shit like Marmalade Boy, Kodocha, Hana Yori Dango (the LA tv series is pretty good, of $())(@#$@ there is a fansub of the final movie too) and Hana Kimi... all of those are pretty girly.
A good girly manga thats not too pussy and actually pretty warped (in a dark way) is Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou aka His and Her Circumstance.

Anime is pretty gay, there are very few animes that I really like... and most of those were made before 2000, and a majority of them were made in the mid to late 80's... Even then, very few are TV series, most are one-off movies, or series of movies. Production quality is superior in movies.
Manga on the other hand is a different thing all together. Compared to other comic industries the Japanese comic industry is huge. Where anime is considered fairly geeky and immature in Japan, lots of people read manga there. The thing I have heard from a lot of people is that Japanese is a fairly hard language to convey lots of emotion in (and having studied it, it seems sort of true) and that comics help add to the emotive respone desired by authors. Thats why you see a huge cross section of topics covered by manga, from kids books to very adult (beyond porn) subjects.

lol i am watching the hana yori live action final movie... shits random, already a huge fight scene in a hotel, then a mind fuck "did it even happen" thing, and then one of the other members of the F4 is a gangster and is in a shoot out after his car is blown up... 
on top of that the show just treats it as normal... that this happens to the rich japanese youth...
