US Airways is now making people pay for drinks, even non-alcoholic ones. I suppose it's not a bad thing, fewer people are getting up to piss, the aisles aren't blocked by the beverage cart all the time, and trash collection isn't much of a hassle. I bet more airlines will follow suit.

if you have ever been on a flight that lasted 22 hours (with one stop over), you would only pick an airline that comps you on the drinks and food.

Any airline should absolutely give you free drinks/food if the flight lasts more than 3 hours. Some airlines just give it to you for free anyways, which I think is stupid.

there is a law in canada now that if your flight is delayed for more than 3 hours they have to pay for your hotel room and food.

Yeah, I know airlines do that a bunch in the US, but only certain cases. A lot of times, you can just be put on another flight, but if everything is booked you get a free hotel room and complementary dinner and stuff.

That almost happened to me, it was late at night, I missed my connecting flight because the airline I came in on was delayed for 2 hours, and they had people volunteer to stay in Atlanta for free one more night while everyone on the makeup flight went home. I was the last person on the makeup flight

that's what happens when I plan a trip overseas single-handedly
7 hours on that plane was death. the bitch beside me was like 5'0 and complaining about the leg room
the food came in a little cardboard box like in KFC *vomits*

Austrian Airlines are ok, it's the airport in Vienna that's a fucking mess and a half. I got stuck there for 3 days without a passport back in 2006... long and horrifying story.

LOT is the best for me because it means no stopovers and I don't have to wait for the flight attendant/pilot's second announcement.

I hate hot towels, everytime I get offered one, I reject it.

They get cold so easily anyway.

if that law passed in the states, any airline flying out of DFW would go bankrupt in a day. Flying out of Dallas is like playing russian roulette.

Heh, it was even worse than flying out of Dallas or Chicago. I was flying out of Miami. The weather there is more unpredictable than Russian Roulette lol, beautiful weather when I walked into the airport, storming and hurricaning 5 minutes later.

best flights I ever took was single engine cessna from keys to colombia one person 5 kilos

Meh, my hands are usually clean anyway. I only take the towel if I ate peanuts before having the meal. It's not like I go around touching the food, probably only the bread.

I also don't like being served so early. Usually once we take off I fall asleep and 30 mins later I get woken up by friend/relative sitting beside me. If you travel alone, the stewardesses usually won't serve you the meal if you're asleep.

If you're on a plane and you touch the seat - your hands are dirty.

anything you touch in a plane is filthy.

the seat, the seatbelt, anything.

planes are disease ridden...there was even an article a while back that most airline pillows and blankets have trace amounts of urine and other bodily fluid in them even after cleaning.
