It would be a damn shame to stop partying at 11pm, haha.

Wont happen. NYC will have events at pacha, sullivan room, Cielo, Studio B, Love, Water Taxi Beach, etc etc etc......There are ALWAYS a ton of after parties for the outdoor events (look at all the options we have for the PVD and Armin outdoor events every year.....)

LOL!!! that is really funny, considering you cant walk in ANY direction for more than 10 blocks without running into SOME sort of subway!! lol you must have been walking RIGHT next to the subway line, just parallel to it!! whoops!

ps; September has some very cool days, even in the beginning. I am hoping for one of those!! (even more so, I am hoping for no RAIN!!)

harlem was nice at that time of night anyways lol.

lol it depends on WHICH part of harlem. I live in Harlem right next to Columbia University and I love it.....but central, and even more so, east/spanish harlem, is ROUGH!!!

lol doesnt scare me anymore (if you knew what kinda place I work in daily), but for tourists, it probably not the best idea to be in east harlem.

how's 118th and 7th ave in your opinion?

Posted by yankeeBaby on May-20-2009 19:37:

Deadmau5 and Nathan Fake added to lineup

smuncky: keep to Fredrick Douglass and WEST and you are ok. East (ie 7th ave/adam clayton) is where things start taking a turn for the worst. and nyc turns QUICKLY if you have ever been here (for example, I live on 120th and Morningside, which I LOVE, but go over 3 blocks and its tough.....)

just wondered what you thought of that area since i stayed there back in february.

didn't really stay there that long to get an accurate impression of it, but in the morning it felt fine and the surrounding buildings looked to be in good shape. it seemed like what i read about that area being slowly gentrified was true.

however, i felt a bit uncomfortable trying to catch a cab around 9pm. very few people on the streets and they weren't the classiest lets just say.

I actually only live a few blocks form there, but in the nice direction, thankfully! its becoming extremely gentrified and has a lot of great restaurants and wine bars, parks with waterfalls, etc.....love it!!

Hey guys. How are you guys all getting down? What is the most inexpensive way, bus? and where will you guys be staying?

Planning to go with 3-4 buddies, so help me out! We don't have a lot of money but it would kill to miss this!

Megabus for buses.

flying: $74 from NYC--->toronto, and $120 Toronto---->NYC (about $200 round trip.)

Or, the cheapest way: megabus to Buffalo airport (goes direct from downtown Toronto to B-lo airport for $7) and fly to NYC for $69ish.

I have tried everyway possible. personally I HATE the 12 hour bus ride to NYC, so its worth it to me to pay the extra $40-50 and be home in an hour and a half.
