An odd way to promote the event, IMO.

Think there should be some type of cross-promotion between the two flyers so those who aren't familiar with what 103 Harriett is realizes it's all the same building and people can access both.

Unless you can't. ANd they are two completely seperate parties.

BTW, no mention of Aly & Fila (or tickets for them) on Wantickets.

Just my two cents. I'm no expert.

Hey Taj, im flying out with friends from north carolina for this. Are James and A & F gonna be in different rooms all night ? I was kinda looking forward to the vibe changing as i was picturing them in one room. That kinda sucks cause i love A & F, but damn...i can't picture leaving a zabiela set to go to the next room to see them.

I agree that JZ and A&F are an odd pairing, and I don't think it was meant as a negative. I'm sure everyone is at least intrigued to catch both DJs in the same night, as I am.

if it wasnt for all the promotion for the party in february I wouldnt know who they are.

Saw james at nacional La a couple of years ago when the power went out but he got on at midnite and played for two hours. not my cup of tea, but it was fun.

My last memory of that night is being run over by a mob of people invading the booth to get pics with Fila...he certainly blew away the crowd that night. I hadn't seen a crowd act that way to a DJ playing in SF for the first time since probably Sander van Doorn first played here, and I can't even remember the last time before that. It was nuts.

mmmm sander van doorrn and james zabiela....that woulda been the best club line up i have ever seen if that show was booked. Aly and fila will do though as long as they start things off real progressive for a good while so it doest drastically change the flow from james.

Ha ha ha, Yea, I was at he back of the room when he finished up and it was funny to see the wave of people rush over there. I was going to run up, but then thought 'hell no', there will be plenty of other opportunities.

My guess:

First half of night...

Main Room = Progresive
Upstairs = Trance

Whala, you go the entrances setup for each event. Main Room = 103 Harriett, Upstairs = 1015...

Second half of night, after JZ is done...switch the upstairs and downstairs. House moves to upstairs, then trance moves to the main room and then Aly & Fila come on.

Just a wild guess. Wrong 90% of the time, but damn does it make me feel good when I am right 10% of the rest lol. Like I guessed the etd.POP DJ setup correctly. I was right!!

It would be ideal for aly & fila to come on after james in the same room...start off real progressive for about an hour so the vibe isnt changed much, then get into to all their signature stuff.
