This one was freaking hot and he was asking me to dinner. Luckily I glanced at the DOB tied to his account and I was like WOAH WAIT A SECOND!!!

My honey always teases me about when I finally go into teaching High School. He's like "great, young strapping little shits staring at their hot teacher with big boobs. Can you just stay in Elementary school, please?"

So, we have plentyoffish and Match.com. Anyone have experience with soulgeek.com?

Sly: I'm guessing you got tons of mail from guys on Match. Was there anything in the messages or profiles that caused instant rejection, or anything in the messages that prompted a second look at the guys? Thanks in advance.

I tend to have horrible luck at bars. Everyone seems to be paired off already, or I'm just not doing things right. Whatev...

whatever you do, don't write like a fucking novel in your "about me" part. i was really turned off by that. it's like jesus, leave some stuff to be discovered on the dates. i kept it short and simple with me and i also appreciated guys who showed pictures of themselves being funny.

this is what made me really like my bf's profile lol

other than that, just don't come off as too desperate and also meet as soon as you can. don't let things drag on too long with just emailing/texting. sometimes u can build someone up and then be disappointed. i would exchange a few emails, talk on the phone and see how they are and then set up a date asap.

Posted by AnotherWay83 on May-28-2009 18:03:

the whole online dating thing is great for women, lame for guys...i mean every woman thats even average looking gets like 50+ emails from guys and there's little chance she'll even get to your email let alone respond to it!

one time i wanted to see just how many guys sent emails to women so i found some pics of chix (just average looking ones) and posted on CL in the women for men section, saying shit like "oh i just want a nice guy bla bla". within 30 minutes i received over 55 emails

Posted by Slylee on May-28-2009 18:05:

yea it's true but whatever. that's how it goes. i got several guys writing me like, "oh let me take care of you bla bla bla" like older rich men. lol

then i got a really weird one from some guy who said he wanted to cut my hair

Posted by squirrelly on May-28-2009 18:07:

I was always really turned off by guys who were like "I'm soo nice" OK let me find that out for myself, and if you're trying to tell me that, chances are - you're not. And people who are like "I just got my heart broken bla bla bla" ffs get over it.

Maybe he was a hairdresser, LOL. And what is that stain on your BF's shirt? Sweat? Grease? Something else...?

I heard that same thing about women getting pouded with messages. Its really one-sided, since I think I've gotten one unsolicited message from a woman on a dating site. Are you all just shy or something?

That shit is SO fake. I'd rather go "hey, wanna fuck?" than try to pull some fake crap like that. I know women have this sixth sense for detecting BS

lol i know right? i had no idea about the shirt stain but i didn't care. the picture made me laugh and realize that he doesn't take himself too seriously, which is important to me.

i would say that if u find a profile you really like, then just make sure you mention in your message somewhere that you like [insert whatever she talked about] as well. it helps if u have stuff in common. also, don't say something stupid like, "i'm sure you get a million emails a day" that's so cheesey and so many guys would write that to me, it got annoying after a while. it shows that you already don't think you have a chance, which shows a lack of confidence. so don't say those things. just be straight up like "hey i really like your profile and i'm interested in meeting" straight shooters and confidence are sexy...at least to me.

IDK about you, but Tiesto fans and Twilight fans lose a few brownie points IMO...

lol I laugh at the ones who insist that their 'dates' earn a certain amount of money.
