The last time I let someone listen to my headphones must have been 2 years ago. I was playing Lucky Pierre-Angels on Your Body and the reaction was simply
and then
and lastly, an uncomfortable silence.
Then I started hanging out with more people who went to raves and were used to electronic music. Pretty much everyone I kick it with knows I listen to a wide range of EDM. Except for all the Wal-Mart shoppers who straight playa hated when I bumped Feed Me-Raw Chicken as I cruised by.
if its one thing i understood, its that trying to get someone to like your music is just fucking stupid. same goes to "unintentionally" playing/cranking up the volume of your music when you have guests. i just keep noticing i still do both sometimes but its plain stupid for sure
music is for your personal enjoyment. if you start reviewing your music taste because most of your surrounding doesn't understand your music, you're no good. something like that...
SOMEONE TOOK MY EARBUD AND SAID WHAT'S THAT YELLOW THINGIE ON IT HE HE
when people ask me what i listen to, i am forced to say techno cuz people have no idea what the hell trance is(or psy ofc...)
then i say trance, they are just "wtf is that"
and then there are idiots(mostly rappers) who are like
"how the fuck can you listen to that its just boom boom boom 24/7 with no changes at all" or [imsocoolaccent]"thats NOT music"[/imsocoolaccent]
just shows how much they know about music
to be fair most of us on here think trance is shit and have abandoned it too.
haha
*points*
loooooooseeeeeeeerrrrrrr
I'm still a trancer. Hoping against hope that the genre will re-acquaint itself with its roots in techno and acid house, and start producing good stuff in large amounts. Trekking on...

you still listen to my stuff and have a cool moog, so i only hate you a little bit
Trance owns lol.
believe it or not i am actually dloading your euro mix, only because montana's got me feeling the nostalgia
Now if someone who knows you takes your earpiece and hears that you'll get the biggest
in the history of
s.
Edit: Thinking about it, I don't believe a word you say until I read some feedback.
i grew up on euro, french canadians love it
every radio station played it.
it would be nice if there were some electronic radio stations not on satellite or internet radio around here...i know the US is way behind the rest of the world when it comes to dance music, but come on, a station or 2 on public airwaves wouldnt hurt...
The last time it happened they were like: "cool music, what is it?"
me: "Background music from various porn movies".

Never got any complaints when I play trance and house, but the one time I played something slightly techy (a Radioslave track and "Who's Afraid Of Detroit") at a friend's house a few years back, a few people who aren't too big into edm were like "What the hell is this beeping video game music shit? Go play something I know!"
A lot of people love to group every edm genre I listen to into 'techno', even when I explain to them for like 100 straight times that it's not techno and they wouldn't know techno if it bit them in the ass... will have to take them to a Jeff Mills show one of these days :P
