Totally agree with the Freak about the diva vocals, while I like tribal percussion in songs, I couldn't stand those screeching vocals and massive buildups that plagued NYC in the late 90's early 00's... though best for me was atmospheric proghouse with some tribal-esque percussion.
There were a few songs in ADD&Chimmichurri which had some nice and complex percussion on them.

tribal was always classified as prog, at least at sale points
