Sure you are. Moral doesn't count because his baby was conceived in a clever ploy to later take her liver. He used to do a lot of drugs, in case you didn't know.

i would imagine it's so they can sit or lay down wherever they are to avoid falling and getting a concussion?

and i cannot believe there are dogs that do that. lol wow. i had no idea.

bas, remember how i was talking about ENERGY the other night?

Jaime, I would presume that you may have been talking about sensing energies... it's obviously possible if animals can do it. I think it's a really interesting concept myself.

bas was making fun of me. i told him i'm really big on energy because that's the very core of what we are made up of. i think some people are more energy sensitive than others.

I believe in energies for sure. I mean, if you think about it, you're reacting to energies all the time.

Eg. When I go to work, there is a lot of negative energy, and I feel it. Eventually, I start feeling negative despite what my mood was to begin with and there is no real reason other than feeding off the existing energies.

I am sure most people have gotten "a bad feeling" about something. I think that is a sense of some type of energy.

It has been proven that animals can sense energies, so why not humans? It's probably more of a sub-conscious thing for us though, so it may not seem like we're sensing anything.

Meh. Maybe it's a bunch of B.S. ... but I believe in it.

when i see someone having a seizure i like to put unmixed paint cans in their hands.

Posted by Slylee on Jun-12-2009 00:21:

i witnessed my aunt have one when i was little. it freaked me out. she has grand mal seizures in her sleep and her entire life has been affected by it. her meds really make her out of it and she can't hold a normal job or anything too stressful because stress trigers them. i mean she gets along just fine. has her own apt. on the beach and a part time job at a surf shop but i think she gets disability or something from the government.

Posted by notelfreak on Jun-12-2009 00:26:

i have had 2 seizures in my life.

once when i was 17 and outside smoking a joint at my friend's parents house.

he did not know what to do (didn't want to get in shit) so he just started slapping me really hard and saying,"snap out of it" (according to him i don't remember). I had hand marks on my face for a week lol.

2nd time was in college.

i was on the basketball team and sprained a finger. While i was geting treatment in the therapy room, i passed out, had a seizure, and pissed myself in front of like 8 people. I woke up with firemen in my face asking me what day it was (first response) and not realizing thast the puddle of liquid i was sitting in was my own urine.

-fml

after oodles of tests i was told it was due to all of the concussions i got in my younger years playing hockey and football. I have not had one since, but sometimes if i get up too fast i get dizzy and fall on my ass and my vision gets blurred.

i goan die young

i do have a slight "shake" because of the post cuntcussion syndrome, but it makes sex interesting.

Posted by notelfreak on Jun-12-2009 00:28:

was she an alcoholic?

grand mal is prevalent in them.

Posted by Slylee on Jun-12-2009 00:28:

I'm assuming you're referring to Rupert Sheldrake's experiments with Morphic Resonance?

got tested for that.

eeg's suck

you have to lay really still and close your eyes with like 50 electrodes on your head while they flash a strobe light on you trying to induce a seizure.

it was like a danceless rave

what "energies" would these be? and who (and where) have they been proven?

Posted by Slylee on Jun-12-2009 01:10:

actually, as much as i'm a big beleiver in the whole "energy" discussion, i guaruntee you the seizure dog thing has more to do with scent. there has to be a scent given off the body before a seizure occurs and it's so subtle only super sensitive noses can pick it up (like a dog's). so after seeing a few, i'm sure if the dog is smart enough, it starts making the connection with the scent and can easily be trained to bark when the smell is there.

yeah, i read a bit on his page after you posted it the first time. i didn't locate anything that i would describe as "proof". if there was something i missed feel free to draw my lazy attention to it

Mine too.

Anyway, I actually haven't found anything that would constitute "proof". What there is of his research documents some seemingly definitive correlations and observations for which morphic resonance/fields provide an explanation (albeit with a bit of sharp-shooter's logical fallacy).

In his book, A Sense of Being Stared at, Sheldrake submits that when a slug is cut into three portions across its length, each portion seems to intuitively know which parts need to grow back. Again, not proof but a theory with some circumstantial evidence supporting it - especially when taken in conjunction with the bulk of his research.
