CHRIST!! I CANT BELIEVE I MISSED JOHAN AND SPENT MY WEEKEND IN THAT SHIT PIT THEY CALL TORONTO. I DONT PARTICUARLY LIKE LIVING IN MTL RIGHT NOW (WEATHER AND POLITICS), BUT FUCK IM SO GLAD I LIVE HERE AND NOT THAT SHIT HOLE T.DOT. I DIDNT CHECK OUT THE AFTER HOUR SEEN SO I CANT COMMENT ON THAT BUT I DID GO TO A CLUB THAT CHARGED 15 BUCKS WAS FULL OF GINOS, PLAYED DNB AND PUT NO BOOZE IN THERE DRINKS. I SAW BUMS JUST SLEEPING ON THE STREET RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SIDEWLAK FACE DOWN, DISGUSTING DISPLAY. IM NOT TAKING SHOTS AT THE PEOPLE JUST FOR ME THE CITY SUCKS DONKEY BALLZ, AND FUCK KOREA AND THOSE TWO MUTHERFUCKAS AT THE HOTEL THAT MADE US MOVE 2 FEET TO THE SIDEWALK TO GET OFF THE HOTEL PROPERTY.
MAN IM PISSED.

Well.. to say the least this party was incredible. Johan spun an incredible set and put on some amazing trakcs.. and overall the atmosphere and the party in general were the cream of the cake.
It was nice once again to here some pure dutch trance since im always brainwashed back and forth with progressive trance all the time. Gilen was doing some nice active djaying with his tables and mixer, including volume cuts during southern sun which really added depth to his set.
I went to the party with one of my favorite gielen remixes, him along with sven maes, Dario G - dream to me. He seemed pretty surprised when i showed him the vinyl. i guess cause its one of his lesser known tracks, but none the less he signed it with the words "respect" @ the top of the label. It was great to see him again for a second. time altho i dotn think he toped his toronto preformance, gielen still did an amazing job with the total track rack up!
I really cant wait to see this dj again and hope that his experience in montreal has gained him more publicity in the north american trance world, since he does indeed deserve more recognition for his productions and music knowlege.
CONGRATS JOHAN!

So how would you guys rate Gielen out on a scale of 1 to 10, with one being garbage and 10 being GOD?
Considering his mixing, track selection and vibe all together???
how about 8
8 too
8 from me too
Damn... was supposed to go but bailed at the last minute...
sounds like it was a good party... how many people there? how long was the set?
Wow, thats a very impressive review. When I asked about Johan in the music discussion forum people were saying that he plays cheese. I guess they were mistaken...
