That's true. But he has not used it yet. He hasn't been on the ground since the Tito Ortiz fight. He has rely exclusively on striking.

He has tons of weapons, but why use them if he doesn't need to? He uses throws and foot sweeps exceedingly well when he needs to. His tendency to stand with people hasn't exactly done him wrong so far!

*Welterweight Championship bout: Thiago Alves beats Georges St-Pierre by KO. [St. Pierre has somwhat of a glass chin. Alves hits HARD. GSP can still win it but I just dont see it].

*Heavyweight Championship unification bout: Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar. In the first 2 rounds I give it to Lesnar by TKO. 3rd to 5th rounds it's gonna be Mir by KO. I see Mir winning on the 4th round.
Result: Brock Lesnar def Frank Mir via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 1:48 to retain UFC heavyweight title.

lol, I definitely don't think Coleman has a chance, but I guess crazier things have happened. He did almost beat Shogun, so...

I don't think Fitch will take this fight lightly. He strikes me as a serious work horse, and I'd be shocked if he thought he didn't have to put 100% into this fight.

I am officially picking Mir as well, but in my heart, I think Lesnar is probably going to crush him. I just don't like the guy though, and can't bring myself to pick him. I will be rooting for Mir tomorrow as much asd I have ever rooted for someone in my life lol.

I wanna say Bonnar. I really do. But I think It's gonna be 1 of those freak things.

Fitch is a very good fighter, but he has not finish fights lately. Most of them are decision. And Paulo is a mean MF'er! It will be a good fight!

And yes, I REALLY want Mir to get the tittle. I don't like former steroid user Lesnar & I respect Mir from comming back from a almost career ending accident.

lesnar winning actually makes things more interesting imo...

i'd rather see lesnar vs carwin then mir vs carwin or velasquez right now.

plus a win over mir sets up the potential trilogy fight, where as if mir wins again...its a hard sell with brock getting beat twice.

fitch hasn't been one to finish fights lately, but he wins them. he's not a wreckless striker like koscheck is. he also actually uses his wrestling unlike koscheck who has all but completely abandoned it lately for more a more showy performance.

im also kinda hesitant to pick someone to win who gets to fight guys at the top of the division while still holding a full time job. granted there have been a bunch of them, fitch being an example, but he has since quit his bartending gig and focused fulltime on training where as thiago is still busting up drug lords.

we shall see...but i think fitch is as focused as they come. i dont think he'll finish thiago though. unanimous decision.

Yeah I remember being pretty pissed after that fight. I hate Lesnar how can you lose you first fight win your second but not be able to finish the guy in 3 rounds and then get a title shot? yeah I don't think he's ever gonna be in the ufc full time, they won't him compete in Sambo comps so he won't sign a contract. But if indeed one day he does, I feel bad for his first victim.
