San is a good producer. That track you posted is probably one of the weakest I've heard from him. I really liked his remixes of The Dawning and Turbomachinery with Sebastian Moore.
speaking of San. Remember this oldie with him?

Some good trance tracks I've heard recently:

Jean Michelle Jarre - Oxygen (00.dB remix)
Reaky - Meduza
Static Flow - Define Sine
De Niro - Mind of Man (Nicholas Bennison remix)

If I were to comment on any one of those tech house track threads you love to post in the CD Review forum about how shit and boring they are, which they in fact are, you'd be the first one crying.

Probably not since I have you on ignore and don't care what you think. You really believe anyone would be surprised by a post like that from you?

I get shit from people on TA all day long, like being accused of heading some mnml hipster brigade that apparently spends all day ruining people's dreams, or gripes from people about how all tech house is boring.

Don't really care.

I dunno, never heard their work. But I'm interested in hearing the older techno sound so I'll check them out.

According to other TAs there shouldn't be anything wrong in saying a track is simply shit, boring or crap. What's wrong with my posts?

I just wanted to point out that being able to brush aside warrant-less critics requires a pair of testicles.

There's no point in getting butthurt by people on the internet who share no common ground with you musically.

Rebel9, i'm sure ToF was kidding with you.

you never know these days. people go shit crazy and call you hater of humanity if you don't like their tunes.

Posted by Zombie0915 on Jul-17-2009 22:06:

well there is a positive correlation between hating humanity and having good tunes

except for emo's

Not really. Honestly, how does someone else's musical tastes affect your own? They don't, plain and simple. Like what you like, live and let live.

Honestly, feel free to post in this thread then. Tell me how much you don't like it. I don't mind, and I sure as shit know that Clovis won't.

Relax I was being sarcastic to make a point to the idiots on here lol. I probably should have put the rolling eye smiley in.

BTW That Orkidea track is beautiful.

I don't like the vocals and the beginning of the track.
The breakdown and after that sounds good (except the vocals then, which are awful IMO).
I listened this:

Other good recent "Trance" or "Trancish" releases:

From Kay-D and Ivan Nikusev check out "The Rainbowmaker" as well.

Upload and Send It from Minoru are even more trancier, but were not available on Youtube. You can find all these tracks on his album released in February.

Rest of the album was totally forgettable for those that are not into electro sound, but this track by Maelstrom is a progressive stormer.

Last two tracks are taken from Freak The Volume Vol 2 on Blue Tune Records, best psy prog compilation out in a long while.

Regarding trance albums you can't go wrong with either: 00.db - Heaven & Hell and Suntree - Inside.

Ferry Tayle's old stuff with Airwave is decent imo.

one's preferred genre doesn't affect its good taste as a whole

i used to like trance but it simply faded away. then there was techno, some nice tunes but most of them these days are all about the white noise which i hate. tech-house is quite my cup of tea nowadays, but a fewer than the half of everything that comes out are poorly produced, the fact that you add bongos, chants and some drums doesn't make it a good one, actually it does but well structured and innovative. mnml i don't like it much, i dare to say 95% of the minimal i hear is rubbish, maybe is just because i can't stand more than 10mins listening to it but hell, if it is greatly produced then i won't mind.

And that right there pretty much sums up YOURSELF ANd That other Jerk MR.MYSTERY.

Nobody dare say a bad word about the "real" trance or what you think is the real trance.PSYtrance.Or else you throw a hissyfit and get your panties all in bunches. Dude get over your ego-estic self.

It's impossible to have one thread on this fucking forum without it turning into absolute shit because others can't tolerate other people's music.

Yea we get it, you're jaded. That's great.
Likewise yea we get it, you're new to the scene and everything is fresh and superfantastic to you.
We. Get. It.

Anyway...It's most likely the youtube quality making it a bit worse but both tracks are too laden in reverb. The first one it kind of fits but the Chicane Remix is too overpowering. I think he could be a bit more conservative in his sound design. You can't really make Offshore sound bad though, the tracks always sounds good
What's with the sound fades at the end of the breakdown? Absolutely kills the energy.
