Yea, I just wanted to know for tonight's show

Weird crowd, weird music. It can get good, but TBH I just don't get Francois K. Very spacey, bleepy music with some dub mixed in. Not my choice for a night of dancing. Besides, Cielo took a turn towards the sh*tter, too much of a hassle if all you want is to have fun.
Francois is just MUCH better when he plays a techno set like @ Minitek (which never happens @ Deep Space).

What are you talking about Mike? I took that photo after you polished off that bottle of vodka in my apartment.

Haha, no fuck you. You know exactly I what I did. You randomly took your camera out and took a shot when I said I was tired. Not drunk

Us who live here know how to keep a party safe and unknown (and know how to get to Brooklyn), there are prob going to be cops everywhere trying to shut down every illegal party like they always do during big weekends in the city. With this festival going on, resolute @ 13 can attract more ppl since it is in an easy-to-get-to neighbourhood that is close to everything when the festival ends. This is not going to be the typical resolute party, the idea is to make money. Besides, the saturday party is at an undisclosed location, so if you don't like 13, go to Day 1 and go elsewhere for Sunday, there will be other parties. I love 13, the vibe is amazing, especially when it's packed wall-to-wall.

at minitek they had yellow buses line-up outside to take the people to the afterparties...but then again, this event is being hosted by madeevent so its not as underground as minitek was-- i guess theres the answer

If you think Minitek provided buses because it was an underground affair, you are very mistaken. Remember the initial idea was that the night parties were going to be @ Penn Plaza. They had transportation available to the afterparties because they were their OWN parties, and Minitek was NOT underground; there was a NY times article about it, a Post article about it, it was on every other music website in the world, people from Germany, France, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, came to NY for Minitek. I really think Minitek set a precedent for a NY festival to happen in the near future that was properly coordinated (as much of a disaster as Minitek was) and it was made clear what the biggest mistakes were so that the next promoters that decided to do a festival didn't make the same mistakes.

Made is doing pretty much the same thing but in a much more organised manner and providing transportation to and from randalls (for a price, no surprise there from Made) but not to the afterparties because there's no affiliation

ok let me rephrase what i said because, obviously, it wasnt underground. yes, it was globally publicized in order to spark what NY had been lacking for so many years, a festival with a variety of djs. what i meant was, it was organized by the very few people and promoters that have been throwing the recent underground parties- resolute and most importantly the protagonist, minimoo crew! So i stand corrected.

now, there were a couple of announced closing parties BUT let me say something those were NOT all of them!

Whatever it is! Also, you haven't competed against me. We've been talking about a drinking contest for a year and still nothing came of it So until then, Wai!

Posted by yankeeBaby on Aug-18-2009 02:50:

So the real story behind that picture is that Mike asked me to walk on his back to try and crack it and I took a pic of him while he was down. Vanquished! heehee

It is a good deal for now. Prices will shoot up next week though, I'm sure.
You know, I was kinda fearing this. I've heard Made has exclusive contracts with their talent that would prevent them to play any other event but those by Made during their stay in NYC. Let's just hope it ain't so. I guess we won't know until promoters start announcing their "super special guests"
I just hope I can catch Paco & Carola elsewhere, and if not I'll just have to suck it up and join in on the festivities and hope for the best, these afterparties @ Pacha have CLUSTERF*CK written all over them

Posted by AY STAR on Aug-20-2009 22:24:

^^^
yea i hear you
i deff wanna see paco vs carola or something up that ally
if pacha does deadmau5 vs benny benassi, then every juiced up idiot with a tribal tattoo in the tristate area can go there
ill go see adultnapper or something else
