even though they are opening up the outside areas at monster massive, it's still not going to stop people from going to the main floor when a good dj is playing inside.

Where have you been? It has happened many times before, it's just that the venues for those events are MUCH larger and can accommodate thousands more people on the floor of the arena.

Both Giant Maximums with Tiesto and EDC with Benny Benassi both were close to being shut down to the same exact issue; and both know how to prevent it from happening again. Both knew exactly what to do to diffuse the situation and get the event back on track.

No bi-polar MC's cursing out and making fun of the crowd, causing more problems. I hope people find out who that guy is and just ban him from every event.

The issue with HARD is they booked a large massive in a small stadium. Once the floor quickly filled up, everyone still wanted to get down there.

See...Drew knows what he's talking about. Couldn't say it better myself. There's a reason promoters like Giant, Insomniac, and Go Ventures have been throwing successful parties for so long, even though they have all had many problems over the years. They know what the hell they're doing! Obviously promoters want to make money, but the good ones understand that the most important part is keeping your party people happy!

And, let's not forget that Giant has had its share of problems too!

I think HARD Mansion might be a bust, but I'd say, if they can survive the next 9 months, the all-agers will forget that anything ever happened.

Underworld is the only act on that lineup worth seeing as it is. However, I wouldn't want to put up with such a shitty crowd as they put on better shows when they're doing a solo show. They'll make it a point to reschedule; I don't know if it's in the link Bas posted or not, but Karl made it a point to say that they've only canceled a gig three times and they've always made it back to redo it.

Fuck massives, fuck idiot crowds. Stop wasting your time.

Link's dead now because it's a new week. Rick was hospitalized last fall because he was close to death with Pneumonia. The other time was when Rick got nailed in the head with a rock at that festival. Guy doesn't seem to have the best luck.
