Well surely Venus blew some easy volleys. But both of them showed us quite a lot long rallies with a lot cross court groundstrokes, which you don't see that often in women's tennis. With every stroke the balls were going faster and harder, and that's why one of them ended up making the (forced) error. So sure, there weren't many winners, but these rallies made up for it, imho.

indeed. didn't watch the game (unfortunately). following the gametracker, and when i see ciljic outnumbered murray in winners 3:1, i don't have to watch the match to know murray just got worked on by ciljic.

If rafa was at 100% he would be plowing through the door, but he isn't in full health so Monfils will give him a good game.

good match. monfils was in the zone in the beginning, but nadal just wore him out in the 2nd set, and never looked back. congrats to nadal.
