There is a certain "look" that can fit into most mediterranean countries. My dad looks a lot like Luiz Felipe Scholari(who infact looks like a typical turkoman despite being brazilian). Can't you see how Scholari's appearance can be passed off for a bunch of ethnicities?

What the fuck, how did you manage to make sense just there?
Well, what do you know? Linguists are cunning, after all
I find linguists to be far more anal than cunning.

| Originally posted by Lira The reason why I posted this thread, actually, is because specially in the new world, this whole "it looks like you're from X" is meaningless, and it's funny how people are bad at telling who is(n't) from their country. You look an awful lot like a cousin of mine, for example, and she's Brazilian as well. I've got German blood myself (hell, my blood has more different origins than the US has member countries!), so it's no wonder she looks "Germanish" and my aunt (this cousin's mother) also had tons of freckles. Besides, South America is just as European as North America. The main difference is that the Iberian settlers were more eager to hump the locals than those puritan puritans from the North |
I can understand why everyone speaks to me in afrikaans to me when I am in south africa, but the one I cannot figure out is why mainland chinese folks ask a white boy like me for directions when I'm in singapore. surely i don't look local to them.
