Personally, I didn't like "Hard Islands" a whole lot. I prefered Nathan when he did that more melodic house, while the new sounds feel a bit too much influenced by Holden.

Can someone tell me why ? Why James Nathan Ricardo or Luke never do before together on one record …

thanks i want an ID on the second track too! so awesome. the last french vocal one is pretty nice too. I ID'd most of them. Here's the description with tracklist from my facebook.

put together most of the videos from holden @ incognito, getting to lax (julie played breathe me ♥ ) then leaving jfk, nathan fake @ electric zoo, holden @ electric zoo, travel to brooklyn for ruhi's bday then empire state building and staten island ferry. wanted to add more, shorten it, re-edit some parts but rendering/encoding process takes forever on my old pc. new p&s camera has nice video but not the best sound for louder situations...

This desperately needs a dub. Other than that, solid track.

This sounds like Depeche Mode or Pet Shop Boys or something. Only worst lol. Its a cool track though and i personally like the vocals.

I think that Border Community is way overestimated. It was quite groundbreaking in the beginning with all that cross-ver progressive/techno/ambient/glitch/noise/experimental stuff going-on with Holden's "a break in the clouds" and Nathan Fakes and petter's first e.p.s etc., but after a certain point things just didn't go the direction they should to. The label ended-up being some kind of a wanna-be Kompakt label or something but with much fewer releases. Today is an ok label but just that. Nothing more nothing less.

Very Pet Shop Boys to me. If you told me they tried to copy them I would believe it. And actually they did that very well.

Realy good new's
If this words are true

quote:
Relax JoeriL! There's not really much to talk about, we don't have a lack of activities, Border Community has. Maybe it's cool to know that James Holden is going to host some Border Community Nights in 2010 in Melkweg Amsterdam. He can bring along who he wants, it's the idea that can present new artist or release new records there. And of course Holden is playing two times in the first week of february. Next tot that I'm very curious what he's going to do with his residency in Corsica Studios. I was there with the kickoff, and it was extremely brilliant, with Rocketnumbernine, Lone, Abbott, Four Tet and Nathan Fake. Really curious who he will bring now. Some release news, next to the new Avus EP: Luke Abbott is going to do an EP on Amazing Sounds, label of Allez-Allez and a LP on Border Community. Fake leaked that he's going to do another album on BC this year. Tobar is going to release an album, don't know if it's on Traum or on BC. And hopefully Holden is finally releasing some stuff, that new track could be a good sign. In 2009 BC had some troubles with label distribution and such, in 2010 they really want to release more! And of course Four Tet is releasing his album in february, and another BC-friend, Dan Snaith (and the band of course, Caribou) is releasing an album this summer, with more 'clubtracks' like Niobe. I've done an interview with Four Tet and Caribou, will post it here if it's online. And there's some quite fucked up news, someboy's stolen Petter's recordbag when he was DJ'ing at an afterparty in Utrecht. Maybe that guy has some more news about upcoming releases. No sorry, it's just a really fucked up thing to do.

James Holden used to make some really fucking sick music in the late 90's early 2000's. He should just stick to that.

too bad he hates electronic music yet lacks to ability to even make music that isn't even qualified as music. he should just stick to smoking weed and being a spokesperson for the jazzmutant lemur, i bet their logo is inspired by him
