-- Redshape - The Dance Paradox LP [Delsin]
Pages (3): « 1 2 [3]
Its a nice headphone mix, there is a lot of detail in the mixes. But if you take away the insane sound quality, its kinda flat as an album. And avg track is only 4-6 mins with only 8 tracks, skimpy.
A much better LP?
Seduce Me
2010 (2010 EP)
Rorschache Game
Globe
Violet (2010 EP)
Dark&Sticky
Bound
White (2010 EP)
And use the remaining tracks that are in this album as an EP before the album, saving the 3 tracks from the 2010 EP for this album. Not only would it have been a more enjoyable and album for more people, but I think it would helped Redshape get into more hearts and minds. That said, someone like me can still enjoy this album and its probably going to grow on me if I listen through headphones, looking into the details. Which reminds me of Stimmings album that was enjoyable at the nuance level and had decent musical values that quite a few fought to paint as "repetitive, bland, boring", when this album fits that description if your the average listener that ignores the details and sound quality.
Oh shaddap
Shut up Kismet.
Kismet seems to know how everyone should do everything at all times.
this would be huge mixed into phuture - acid trax in a warehouse.

A reasonable reality is certainly not one that conforms to every opinion and view you yourself generate.

My point is basically you can't always get what you want. People have different ideas and opinions than you, prattling on about how things "should have been done" does not really make any difference, does it?
Start a blog.
/Actually, I'm definitely in the wrong here, this is a "discussion" forum. I'm just kind of over seeing your gigantic blocks of self-indulgent text proclaiming exactly how an artist could have done better.

Shut up enydo, he's a signed artist now.
But then again, so is Richard Durand.

I planned on going to see Redshape play, but as it turns out it's the first time he'll do a dj-set in Holland. Are his dj-sets any good?
Why not go find out?
Judging by the samples, my favourites are Man Out of Time, Globe and Dead Space Mix. Going to buy this.

| Originally posted by djpaulc Went into this thread to read about Redshape's new album and for some reason most of it seems to be taken up by you going on about how great you are. You appear to be getting very carried away with yourself, particularly with this last statement. From what you have said, you have had one EP to date. That gives you no platform whatsoever to presume you will have a successful career in the music industry. Almost any Joe Soap can get an EP released these days....and for your information, production comes through practice and little else....just because someone doesnt have the time/interest to take up production and persue music as a career, doesnt mean that you are in anyway above them. Fair play to you getting your debut EP signed, but before posting again, for your own sake please take a minute to put your achievements into context with the real world. |
still awaiting that set you were supposed to do like a year ago.
you can't get an international gig by just playing your 2 tracks that you have done on repeat in winamp you know.
