Reminds me of the shirts in the early 90s that said "Faceless techno bollocks". That's taking your banter.
There's been several good to great points raised in here.
I have to agree with System J that we are the only people who have the ability to change the status quo. The people who dabble aren't going to do it so that means it's left to the enthusiasts.
Most of the problems with djs these days are actually promotional problems. Most of the djs are not diverse in what they spin. In my opinion your sets should be a little bit different in every situation in order to best fit the rest of the night. I mean can you imagine how sick festivals would be if the promoters had any clue about how to align the djs so that the sound was a continual flow through edm? The problem isn't trance; it's the djs playing it. There are very few people out there right now who throw down diverse sets on the regular. There is heaps of great new music and people are playing the same shit over and over and over again. It's sad but far from dying out. It is just going to take some purists setting the bar instead of some sell outs. In due time.
I think especially with progressive in all facets; it lends itself equally to home listening and club experience. Thus some people are going to say that something is one way because that's how they prefer to listen to it while others will like it another way. That's what I love about it.
C'MON GUYS! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PLUR?!?!?!?!
I'm trying to download this now, but it's going to take 9 hours at a whopping 6.6 kb/s. Any idea what could be wrong, Sushi?

Don't know what was wrong but I tried again last night and was able to get it quickly.
I just finished listening to this in the office. Definitely not relaxing sofa music. I generally listen to much slower Deep/Tech House so that could be part of why I feel this way.
I thought your flow was spot on. You started relatively slow, and kept building and building and building throughout the 80 or so minutes. The mood was very dark, which is exactly how I like prog house/trance sets. I'm completely out of the loop now when it comes to this style though, so all of the tracks were new to me with the exception of "My Lexicon". And last, but not least...the mixing was superb. I was very impressed with how tight the mixing was. Hats off to you mate!
I have a few friends who are huge trancecrackers, so I will make sure I pass this along to them so they can listen to what real, good progressive trance is.

Yeah, it was pretty dark IMO. Specially the first half, but the whole mix was very melodic, yet dark. Don't know if that made sense, lol.
And don't worry about it mate, you'll get to it when you get to it.

Hey man just finished listening to this. Nice mix good stuff! I enjoyed it although I'm unsure if giving it the big room prog house moniker was the best way to describe it. Nonetheless I dug it.
You seem like a bit of a perfectionist so I thought I'd point out that this set has a tiny skip in it at 44:30.

I finally downloaded this, and though prog isn't my usual cup of tea anymore, I really enjoyed it. I put it on in the car for a trip to the grocery store, and ended up hitting the highway and just driving after the second track hit. Really great stuff.
listened to this mix several times during the last days. mind blowing flow like the other sets you've posted here. there's not a single track that' somewhat spoiling the flow ... it's perfectly grooving from the beginning to the end
