You guys are lucky that you got to see Sasha live. He was supposed to come to T.O. last night but cancelled because apparently he was sick. Either that or you guys spoiled him with some really good coke!

These videos are making me sick actually and I`m wondering why T.O. got the short end of the stick AGAIN as he cancelled for the S and D spring tour a while back too.

yeah I got texts from many of my Toronto friends saying he bailed. that REALLY sucks for those guys because this is the second time he has bailed.


although i DID get some texts from NY'ers that he looked really sick/dead (those actual words) behind the decks on friday in Brooklyn....he he may very well have been sick

my observations were he kept wiping his nose while throwing back drinks, funny my nose was having the same symptoms inside that warehouse who knows?

lol either one of two things happened:

1. His body really was getting sick and the yayo was a temporary fix to keep him going and lose the sensation of being sick

2. he did too much shit, played til 10am, and paid for it the next day and bailed (and I stand corrected: for the THIRD time in ten years) in Toronto....

Really, people are whining over 3 times in 10 years? Desyn bailed on NYC like 3 consecutive times in 1 year back in like 2005 or 2006.

BTW, Sasha only played until 6. Three played for 6 hours from 6-noon (or so I heard because I didn't close out the party).

well I wasnt there, but the reviews say that Sasha played back and forth with Three until 10am. Not from my mouth, though, so someone else will have to confirm.

*although if this really was an unfortunte coincidence, we have to expect that DJ's are humans and wont always be there.....but its their responsibility to make sure they are in good form for every gig, just as we would at our day jobs....we try NOT to go out a do rails every night before an important account meeting, right? I wasnt there, so who am I to assume he was doing "rails" as people are saying, but there is a huge difference between getting the flu and cancelling because you couldnt handle your shit from the nigh before....the second is unnacceptable, especially considering some people flew/took the train/booked hotels/etc and WONT be getting that particular money back.....

3 times, in 10 years. Really? Especially when the last time was related to passport issues, or so that's what was said in the Toronto thread. And the other time was literally in 1998 or 1999. It sounds really childish when suddenly everyone's crying "why does he hate TO so much."

I think the thing that I find most ridiculous about this whole controversy is that everyone automatically assumes it's because he had a coke hangover. Talk about jumping to conclusions, especially because everyone's been really healthy lately. I mean, that Brooklyn party was full of people coughing. My office has been seeing a lot of sick days and on a daily basis, there are at least a few people commenting about being sick on my FB feed. People get sick. It happens.

Just curious to see if he makes Miami tonight. Will it suddenly be a 2 day coke hangover if he does?

People were just upset. Sasha is one of the DJs that gets everyone out so the anticipation for the party was higher than usual.

hehe I TOTALLY understand why they are upset (as my original 2-3 posts in this thread states) but I also feel like peeps shouldnt make (public) assumptions that may lead to rumors and theories that may not necessarily be true

Hey! Nice meeting you too, as well as everyone else I met that night. That party was amazing! For me it was the epitome of what I look for in the EDM scene. I loved dark vibe Sasha brought. Since EZ was a festival, I'd have to agree that this was the party of the year for me. Second runner up was the Reboot and Hugo party, at the same location, by blkmarket as well. I love what these guys are doing, and I'm sure they'll be plenty more to come.

Sasha should do a monthly
