Nah, that would ne Alabama,

Challenge 4 (Lethal Car Decorating): Prior to entering Alabama, the presenters were instructed to roller-paint each other's cars with slogans which might lead to them getting shot by the locals. May painted pro-homosexual slogans on Hammond's car ("Man-love rules OK"), Hammond painted "Country and Western is Rubbish" on Clarkson's, and Clarkson painted "Hillary for President, "NASCAR sucks" and "I'm bi" on May's car. All three attempts were so successful at offending the locals that the presenters and the filming crew members were chased out of town by friends of the owner of State Line Pride gas station in Seminole, AL, who pelted the crew's vans with rocks. The frightened crew quickly aborted the challenge and washed the paint off the cars once they left Alabama.

wtf you talking about man? did you just begin to check news online? how old are you? bbc is way better than cnn.. watch cnn tv for two hours and than bbc and you will know the obvious difference.. cnn is balloon boy and stuff.. bbc has a black man as anchorman, nothing beats that.

You must be kidding. Panorama is a big shit-stirring show stuff first, think later heavy handed piece of shit. It has made countless errors by getting stuck in first and regressing later and accused many innocent people on flimsy evidence. Kinda like america /on topic

PS - No one has ever adequately explained the joy of trolling to me in a way that doesn't rely on the assumption that the troll's real life is an epic fail... I still don't really see teh fun in it.

The spacecraft reached Mars and executed a 16 minute 23 second orbit insertion main engine burn on September 23, 1999 at 09:01 UT (5:01 a.m. EDT) Earth received time (ERT, signal travel time from Mars was 10 minutes 55 seconds). The spacecraft passed behind Mars at 09:06 UT ERT and was to re-emerge and establish radio contact with Earth at 09:27 UT ERT, 10 minutes after the burn was completed. However, contact was never re-established and no further signal was ever received from the spacecraft. Findings of the failure review board indicate that a navigation error resulted from some spacecraft data being reported in Imperial units instead of metric.

Well it's an active mockery of serious debate. As with anything worth mocking, the thing itself is ridiculous - online debate - as nothing is achieved through it. At all. Even within the most polite guidelines, it's a worthless exercise in looking at your own words, and that's not to mention the fact that most "serious" arguments turn into childish shitfests anyways. Sure there's some merit in articulation - we all come here to read others' thoughts more or less - but there should be a troll for every person who thinks they've achieved something through insisting their ego through the internets. It's a forum maintenance thing.

Sure, I understand the fun of having a good troll around I just can't imagine myself deriving any fun from being the troll... The amount of time invested doesn't seem worth the pay-off.

Everyone has let their annoyance get the better of them and got drawn into internet debates at some point, and invariably come to the conclusion that it was an unmitigated waste of my time. But to go into a lengthy debate conscious of it's futility in advance, seems to entail another level of pointlessness.

I'd still maintain if someone can find no better activity from which to derive pleasure at any given time than attempting to irritate people on an internet forum, something is wrong with their lives... Then again, I'd say the same thing about people that play WoW. Maybe I'm just out of touch.

You still seem to be missing the greatness of it. Everything you said is true - trolls pretty much work for you. Of course you can object to your own piddling of said free time, but if other people do all the work for you, what is there to shun? Let them be pathetic, that's why they sport such a pejorative moniker - they like to do it!

There's your problem. A 'troll' (such a stupid term) approaches a situation knowing that it is going to be nothing more than petty entertainment and will result in nothing fruitful. Prior to the debate even beginning, they know full well that they will be wasting their time, or rather someone else's. This gives them a certain amount of power over the unwitting person who enters the debate with the intention of 'constructive' (virtually nothing in mainstream internet could be described as such) usage of time to learn something or educate someone else, when, in fact, they are just going to be 'trolled'.

I think we're on the same page. A quality troll is great fun for the rest of us.

Oh I get that.. and when I see it done well I have a chuckle like everyone else. But I just can't imagine myself spending hours baiting strangers on a forum.. I bet you can think of at least a dozen more fun ways to spend that time off the top of your head.

Of course I can, but not while I'm at work, where games, youtube, funny pictures and every other form of computer-based entertainment is obvious and frowned upon. That leaves talking shit on forums or actually doing work as the two activities to fill the day.

You are all just upset because you were made to look foolish. Trolls have no effect if you don't take the bait.

Trolling this shitty forum for about one day a year seems less sad than posting here every day to be honest.
