at the veins on your hands. so skinny, dude.
i've actually been complimented on my veins by doctors and nurses before, so
People who have to take blood routinely might like the sight of prominent veins.
Jesus, Jamie, you're so vein.
*ba-da-pssst*
Thats quite a creepy compliment actually...woud make me think tha the person complimenting me is a vampire or something.
Hey there, coudnt help but notice that you have absolutely wonderful veins
lol i dunno they just said, "ooh nice strong veins". and yea jive hit the nail on the head. they would notice something like that because they have to draw blood a lot and it's a hard thing to do if the person has weak veins.
That would be me...my barely noticeable veins go along great with my pathological fear of needles. The nurses need to put the needle in several time (usually in both hands) before they find something to worl with, and all that ime it takes all i have not to fait because i dont think that thers anything else that creeps me out as much as a needle does.
i'm not crazy about them but i'm not deathly afraid of them either. i just look the other way as i'm getting poked and then i'm fine once it's in.
*edit* haha that sounds perverted
This guys got guts. I like it.
I remember there was this girl in my school who had a tough
qurrel with this really young female literature teacher , and the teacher ended up crying.
Epic.
But well , that guy must had been really fucking pissed off to threaten the teacher , after all hes not just anybody , hes the teacher .
He should really apologize though , IMO.

I'm the opposite. I have to look at them to see exactly when they go in.
Speaking about needles, I really should go donate some blood again.
O Pos ftw!

The best part is the needle going in! I love that shit so much! It is almost sexually gratifying.
I don't mind needles, but it's not pleasant when a nurse is digging around in your elbow with one trying to find enough puss to suck out and send off for analysis.
i'm fine with needles in the vein, but one time i sliced open my finger.
had to get a needle of lidocaine in the finger, a med student was administering it, and it took like 10 tries before it got numb. and this is on the tip of the finger.
shit hurts like no other.
That sounds weak. My veins pop right out and I always have ER nurses and techs mainlining my morphine for me, so I haven't had that problem too often.

So, I had a word with Akira (or, rather, he met me while I was wandering between classes
)
He's reluctant to apologise, and I can only hope he did talk to the professor he threatened after our convo. After getting to know a few more details about what actually happened, the plot thickened... and Akira is not such a good student, after all.
Akira had already taken this course under professor Takahashi last semester, and flunked. Takahashi was not supposed to teach this course again because he had already been assigned to some different courses, and was already working more than he was being paid for. The students that were supposed to take this course understood how difficult the situation was, and didn't mind professor Takahashi's refusal to go on with it -- except for the students that failed this course last semester (that would be Akira and three more guys I don't know).
Takahashi accepted their demands, but told the students that even those that had flunked the previous semester could fail once again if they failed to meet his standards. And, as a matter of fact, he became very strict with these students (it's only natural, I think, since they're not the best students he had AND they're the ones that insisted in taking the course). Whenever one of these students stepped out of the line, he'd scold them.
After a while, Akira snapped... and, to make things better, professor Takahashi is not teaching this course any longer (he had apparently found another professor to teach the course, and that was his last class anyway).
I told the kid to apologise immediately and keep a low profile, but he seemed a bit reluctant... let's see what happens next.
