I took a listen to this the other day, apart from the Mr Scruff tunes, I didn't think it was too different from your usual, mind you, that's a good thing though! Really dug the Guido Schneider track, it had crisp percussion and the loopy vocal was rather hypnotized. Also liked the more funky/deep vibes... I think the only things that I didn't like about the mix was that it seemed to end a bit prematurely; I was expecting a bit more of a finish. And I didn't quite care for the Mr Giant song, it seemed to break the groove the mix had going on at that point.

Will definitely take some more listens to it.

Hehe, it looks like many of you have very different views and opinions on this set. Some like certain tracks, others don't so much.

Just FYI Jay, I already listened to this three times and I really do like this mix a whole lot. In fact, I'd say it's easily my second favorite from you in 2009. I think the reason I took so long to comment is that I just don't know what to write anymore. It's exceptionally good and I cannot fault this mix in any way possible.

I think that some of the tracks here are brilliant. You see your mixes will always be very consistent and entertaining, the only factors that seem to sway me into liking some of your mixes more than others are your selections. Some of my favorite tunes here include: So Long, Cabaret (WAHAAAAAAAT!), Times, One Inch a Day, Login Exact and of course, See You in Hyperspace.

Oh and I guess I should mention that honestly, this is not so different from most of your output this year. With the exception of the two Mr. Scruff tunes, this is pretty consistent with what you've been doing as of late.

I thought the ship had sailed on this mix, so I am glad to know that someone is still listening to it. I get where you are coming from in regards to this set being similar to the output i put out usually. Sometimes when you just finish recording, it can feel different, but listening back, i did cover similar ground in this for sure.

This will most likely be my last mix for a while like this (and just in general).

My new year's resolution musically is to change my buying patterns. I have told myself that i will limit myself to 8 new records a month. The rest of my purchases will be used to pick up all those older releases that i never had the chance to buy.

The trend seems to be rehashing classics at the moment, and I think that I would much rather play the originals, than some half assed attempt to modernize it. The new releases have been weak across the board lately to me anyways, so by just buying music that I know has been able to stand the test of time will make my sets better, and if not at least my collection will benefit

Le Freak - Insomniac Delights Part Deux by Le Freak

this morning. It is 3 years old, but i enjoyed listening to it (something that is rare for my sets, i would rather listen to other people.) Maybe some of you will like it.

thanks dude...i'm bumping this because i have something in the works that puts every other mix i have done to shame. I selected the records (some really old, some really new) and i am just waiting to get a few technical things fixed (hardware) to record it live.

Man...i'm no dj thunderbutt...but i miss sharing mixes online since a few things crapped out on me.
