we are gonna get screwed. his twitter said he left ~15min ago, no way that trip takes less than 5.25hrs. if we pay for a bottle, go all the way to jersey and only get 1hr of angello because of the 2am rule i'm gonna be pissed.

Posted by ravracer16 on Dec-30-2009 00:38:

This blows. If I'm doing the math right, if he left 7pm our time and it takes 5hrs to get to NYC, he should be arriving at the airport around 12am, and that's not including the car drive to NJ.

If he is flying into Newark, it isn't that far.

Posted by Burak14 on Dec-30-2009 00:43:

the most we'll get of him is 1.5 hours this is my first time seeing him too..

Posted by chimera66 on Dec-30-2009 01:21:

it's not far from newark true but a cross country flight will take closer to 5.5hrs than it will 5hrs. add say 20min drive and you have him in the club ready to go at 100.

I think you'll all have a good time there anyway. I don't think he would still rush to get here and only play for an hour. He could have just skipped and gone to Haiti tomorrow. Hopefully Deko gets it and stays open late for it or someone find him an afterhours to spin at.

Posted by DJ Eco on Dec-30-2009 02:59:

His Twitter, he mentions to someone "LA-NYC", hope NYC doesn't mean JFK....... I'm thinking about pregaming in Hoboken right now until I find out what the situation is.

Posted by chimera66 on Dec-30-2009 03:57:

Well the situation is that he isn't here but it is full

Sayreville cops will be there at 2am on the dot - they don't screw around. Usually Deko closes at 1:40 to kick everyone out for 2.

What right would they have to kick people out then? In NJ, last call is at 3am and if you're close enough to the shore, it's at 5am.

where are you hanging out? In most parts of the state liquor sales are done at 2am, with the exception of hudson country (and some other towns like clifton) on weekends (3am), certain shore towns on the weekends (3 or 4 am), and atlantic city all the time (24 hours).

Remember, today is tuesday. And not only does the club have the right, but it has the legal obligation to kick people out at a certain time.

I quoted someone who said the cops would make people go. I didn't say anything about the club making people leave. The law in NJ is 3:am with some exception at the shore for later. It doesn't stipulate the day of the week.

Wrong!!!!

Certain spots in North Jersey have a 3am closing but other then that its 2am...

the only spot in Central Jersey that has a 3am Closing is Headliner...everything else is 2am

In South Jersey, Seaside is 4am and AC is usually whenever. All other shore towns are 2am

West jersey is 2am across the boards

The cops came in a bar in Cape May at three flipping that people need to go saying it was the law in NJ. They made such a deal about it and thought of Hoboken, thought it was the same everywhere. Still, can't places stop serving and stay open?

Thats news to me cause i've been living here for a while and the only place that is open till 3 is Hoboken and some other towns. Standard NJ law is that alchohol is served till 2am latest in majority of NJ unfortunately. Most places boot you out at 2 because like NYC clubs they don't want the liability of someone dying or whatever else bs that happens late night

did angello make it at a decent time?

Posted by DJ Eco on Dec-30-2009 13:20:

Totally not worth the $40 and shadiness at the door and guestlist.... Fuck Deko, not going back anytime soon, don't care if Jesus Christ is headlining lol. They were pulling tricks at the guestlist door even knowing that we'd only get a 1 hour set from Angello... No bueno...

Glad at least it was Matt's and James' and Wai's birthday, so at least that was the bright point of the night, and got to see a bunch of familiar faces!

Wrong dear, as made point by others. I didn't mean that the cops are going in the club with their weapons drawn and push people out lol..
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if cops showed up at 2am to enforce the law.

Anywho, Eco.. what time did he actually show up?

Posted by Burak14 on Dec-30-2009 14:48:

7 of us got kicked out for absolutely doing nothing... FUCK this place.

Posted by MeLLyMeL on Dec-30-2009 15:57:

wtf? Sorry to the birthday folks but this night looks like it had disaster written all over it!

More info on the getting kicked out story and more people saying that NJ does close at 2am please.

Posted by AY STAR on Dec-30-2009 16:31:

for me the night was good i had a good time, but iam sittin here feeling a lil stupid about telling wai, ravi and burak how deko is such a nice venue and we show up last night and it turned out to be a shady cluster fuck of a place

i didnt use the guestlist, but it was shady from what i heard
another shady thing on the club is the supposedly "5$ vodka drinks all night long"...i get to the venue and the bartender tells me 8 bucks and iam like i thought it was 5, she tells me "no sorry that was only for the first hour" thats such bullshit, this is the 3rd time they screwed me last min between either not honoring membership cards, or not staying with their word on drink specials
the venue itself was deff a cluster fuck, i havent been there at all this year, but i didnt really like the new vip area on the left wall, it takes up alot of space for nothing, cause the vip tables arent even roped off...anyone can come and sit at your table

the place deff was too packed and the crowd was extra nj douchebagish
everytime i went before last night i always had a good time there and the crowd was never that bad
last night i saw like 3 fights, very push people..especially the girls

on a more positive note the music was great angello did show up late, like 12:30 and played a good set, similar to his set at pacha a few weeks ago but he also played a few new nice tracks he was deffff feeling the crowd, i dont think i ever seen as many dj groupies in the dj booth in my life lol both sides of the dj booth were swarmed with people just goin nuts, so yea i enjoyed his set
but for me the stand out dj of the night was deff dean k...wow this kid was just droppin really really good songs i seen him 2 times this year as an opener and he deff impressed me so yea i hope he goes somewhere cause he deff has the talent

so yea i would like to say sorry to everyone who had a bad time at deko, if i would have known the night would have been that dumb i would have just told us all to stay home
the managment there deff blows
p.s wai and matt i hope you guys had a good time tho in vip
heres a few vids i took...i cant belive he played satisfaction

I already answered why in the last one, based on Cape May and what happened. Don't worry, I have no plans to drink in Jersey any time soon. Let them keep telling me, it's fine. Oh noes!111!!! Yumpop was wrong!!!111!!!!

If cor was even more lame ass then it already is and the cor was in Jersey then yeah. They can have their shitty state. I'll be at the bar at 3:59 am getting another Belvedere and cranberry, thanks.
