Haha man, I like you. However, you are without doubt TA's totem of anti-evolution when it comes to musical taste.

Oh and I don't recall anyone understanding what the hell you meant by that, since it just sounded like a clich escapade from an argument gone wrong. You like "Going Wrong" ? =)

Ha ha, I guess I'm not alone then. My taste hasn't changed for 20 years and I'm very happy with that. I don't need to sell my old cd collection now.

If you didn't understand it you should ask for an explanation or just shut up.

About talent: Why are the Finns better racing drivers compared to others?

Because they learn to flee from polar bears at an early age?

That's it, questions are so easy if you know the answer at once

Because of harsh weather they're adapted to rough driving, ergo, being better drivers.

I'm waiting for your geography explanation mr. Magnetic North.

But it's not that Finland is the only country with harsh weather, so there must be more.

No.

That's not why we don't like trance. It's not because it doesn't sound like it used to. It's because trance is inane forgettable shit.

Then don't come into every single trance thread and bitch about how you think it sucks.

But again, change is completely subjective.

I could post any, ANY trance song on here that came out after [insertyouryearofpreference] and you would say that it was utter shit because it's "uninspired" and doesn't sound like what came out in the 90's.

Guess what? If you don't like that sound then just dig up your old CD's and listen to those. Trance isn't going to sound like that again. People like you need to stop crapping on every motherfucking thread saying that X sucks because it doesn't sound like Y, because it's never going to happen.

Once you get past this mental block this forum will stop being one massive bitchfest. I mean look at most of the threads here...they are filled with people like Lews and woscar constantly complaining that a song doesn't sound like the stuff they listen to. Just fuck off and let everyone listen to what they want.

And again I think you're right.

In the 90's, also from a technical point of view, there was plenty of space to explore. Nowaday is difficult to find a new star in space which will make a spectacular impact.

I think many 20 year old TA's don't have old cd's of the 90's, cause the still were running in daipers back then or at least weren't listening to trance at the time. Also never heard the rubbish which was made back then, next to the supposed to be proper trance.

I don't care what music sounded like in the 90's - if something is uninspired and crap it'll be uninspired and crap. I just don't think it's a pure coincidence that the majority of these so-called "big" tracks of today are uninspired and crap.

And no - I really haven't listened to much trance (hell, any electronic music for that matter) so I can't really say anything about the state of EDM today. I'm sure there's plenty of good music being released too, it just gets lost in the masses.

"People like me"? You're the one throwing the shit around with rants like these - I didn't even say anything about my music of preference. I was talking about change.

You should take a look in the mirror - if you don't like how these people "bitch" just fuck off and go listen to what you want. It works both ways.
Unnecessary bitching isn't fun for me either but you're only adding fuel to the fire.

"But osterzone, don't you say we all listen to shitty minimal techno jungle shit?"

Yes, but I only bring that up when you are the first to thread crap.

That's a pretty shit excuse.

What someone thinks is uninspired and crap is very personal.
If you have a look at designs of many things (e.g. cars, buildings) I think it's uninspired, but if you then hear the designer talk about his work and why he did something, it's not as uninspired as I believed it was. But that won't make me like it more though. I'll just have some respect for his work.
