lol, it sucks being a younger NYTA. especially when i first signed up under another name. my first event was armin @ mccarren pool in 07 lol... being 17 was the worst. 18 was pretty bad too especially since when i turned 18, everything went 19 or 21+. and then i turned 19 and for a while everything was 21+

they're all out to get me...

I started going to the Tunnel when I was 16, Its easy, just get a New Jersey Fake ID online. I am not sure about now but back in the day they were easy to fake.

Yea it sucks to be young now. I remember the days of sneaking into clubs at the age of 15 because no one really checked. A little make up and some heels and voila you look older. Even when they did check they would just ask you what year you were born to try to stump you lol

Ya I have vivid memories of Tom and I memorizing our fake IDS on our way to the tunnel circa 97'

hehe good time

when i was 17 i was goin to warehouse parties, storm raves, countdown parties thrown by smpty. i really wasnt into going to the big clubs i go to now. so maybe the younger kids are just staying underground or having their own parties i cant really see a 17 yr old on this board a lot of the events are 19 and up.

There is the occasional all ages event outdoors (ie: Summerstage), as well as all ages events at Terminal 5.

i think it can actually work for you... from my experience, girls like the younger 20's crowd if you know how to talk to em and don't act like an idiot

Just turned 26. It's hard to believe that I got introduced to this forum back in 2004. It seems like yesterday I was making my treck up to NYC to see PvD and Armin!

When I first joined, I considered the 26 & 27 yr olds as being in the older TA age range. Now I'm turning 27 towards the end of this year wtf . I've always assumed the avg NYTA age is about 24 / 25.

me too! im surprised at some of your ages....i guess were all eternally young

I just turned 30 myself....damn proud of it too!

Man I remeber when more than half of the TA's couldnt even drink at the clubs...

Kinda sad that there's not a new influx of youngins joining the scene

I feel like people burn out a lot more quickly these days, or they come & lose interest. Lots of pretense, putting on social shows & not really actually having their hearts in the music & the parties. It's prob always been that way to some extent, but... /shrugs

sadly, I might be gone by the time I turn 21 so I haven't even lived this scene's bare minimum yet...but it's been a fantastic time so far

Can't believe I'll make 5 years on TA next month. Time fliiies .

This was my first event vvv (3/18/05)

so I pretty much consider myself a noob compared to TA's who's been around since a decade ago

*edit* Wow, the site says it was $25 online and $35 at the door... for an ARMIN event. That is nuts

Oh no! you are one of "those". It's okay. I am one of those too

I prefer gift boxes. I have small feet so not many flyers are going to fit into my shoe boxes

yeah lol, its a problem. i used to travel a lot when i was younger and i would save my hotel keys / key cards too. although i only have one shoebox full of those. dont ask me why i kept them. i guess it was for memories or something.
