I remember buying a beer and red bull for $17 @ Mansion a few years back...
Who eats at WMC bwahaha. Seriously though Pink, however sometimes during WMC wait is ridiculous.
Ok, some people MIGHT want to eat! lol So here are a few places to check out...
Lime is good www.limefreshmexicangrill.com my friends say it's great so it's something to check out.
8 oz. burger bar is good too! They have drinks there too so you might want to fuel up before heading out to Ultra or a long night of drinking www.8ozburgerbar.com
If you want to eat downtown here are a few suggestions (note: a lot of restaurants close early dt since it's just really open for the working people)
Stoupy's of Athens - HANDS DOWN awesome greek food! It's cheap too, and now they are open on Saturdays until 4! Definitely worth checking out 320 SE 1st Street (no website but look it up, great reviews)
CVI.CHE105 - for Peruvian food www.ceviche105.com it's open until 10 or 11 at night, prices are decent, service can get a bit slow depending how packed it gets but the food is totally worth it.
La Loggia-www.laloggiaristorante.com PVD's favorite italian restaurant, he always eats here when he comes to town so go if you want to see him lol seriously though, food is great, my office is right across from the street from it so when given the choice, we all head there for lunch.
tre italian bistro-www.tremiami.com La Loggia owns this restaurant, it's also italian but super funky. They always have drink specials going on.
and if you want to venture to brickell...
Perricone's-[www.perricones.com love love love this place, it's awesome, no matter what you eat. If you guys arrive early like Tuesday go there for their 2 for Tuesday special, 2 sandwiches (a foot long each), 2 drinks = $12. Totally worth the trip.
All the restaurants in downtown and brickell can be reached by metromover which is free

If you have a car, there is a liquor outlet in Kendall. We're going there first, then Publix for mixers. You should also get a case of water because it isn't cheap.
I don't eat much at WMC but there are some places that we go small things-
La Sandwicherie
Scarpetta
Bond St
Sushi Samba(but will admit there is a bias and I am planning a meet up for a group of NYers and Miami friends if TAs want in on Tuesday afternoon)
Pacha's- Mel is right, so good
Some Cuban recovery places(not SoBe)-
Versailles(Calle Ocho)
El Ray de las Fritas- if you are very hung over, massive spicy burger mess, good for two to share, they have a few locations
Latin American Market- in the middle of nowhere, good to get on the way to the airport, best tamales

| Originally posted by yumpop It is a lot cheaper because it is not in Miami Beach. Not sure of the address, it is in Kendall on the way to all the big stores. I just know which way to drive. I am sure a local will know the address to list. Even if you just go to a SoBe store, it will still be less then an event. |
6 pages and not a mention of Joe's Stonecrab? that's the first place I go when I land because we all know we aren't eating much after that first meal.
Lobster Reuben, Rice Pilaf, Crab Cakes game on
It's on Washington by Nikki Beach, go to Take Away if you don't want to wait 2hrs to be seated.
--
SoBe Diet, fruit smoothies all day..the only thing that I could consume.
Just thought I'd chip in -
Puerto Sagua is gangsta shit, although popular and often packed.
T-Mex is good those who said so were right.
Cheeseburger Baby over on Washington is good and greasy, and the fries are pretty badass.
Cafe Nexxt over on the Lincoln Road Mall - you'll pay $9 for a salad, but you'll get what you pay for, I promise.
I like Tapas Y Tintos over on Espanola. Authentic staff, and really good authentic tapas.
As far as drinks, they are expensive but just as a barometer - Mansion charges $6 for a bottle of water (it is Evian, but what the fuck?), so you can guess how much they charge for everything else.
Nikki charges $8 for a Dos XX or a Presidente and $12 for a Jack&Coke.
I just bring a couple of bottles in my checked baggage, that way I can use my own stash instead of having to buy more bottles when I get there.
Also, if you're into extracurriculars, I recommend getting them there somehow yourself (it's not as difficult as one would think), I'll just say I "heard" from somebody that coke is twice as much as it is in my hometown.

I would think any liquor store will be alot cheaper than buying in clubs, bars, etc..
I am going to go to to the closest one to my hotel to save time and I am not sure if you can bring that stuff on a bus so I need to be able to walk it back.
Shopping list to start off:
3 bottles of vodka
1 rum
1 tequila
3 12 packs of diet soda
Clarke's on 1st and Alton is a good Irish pub with the fire burgers and shepherd's pie.

Does anyone know of a decent vegetarian or vegetarian-friendly restaurants around SoBe? It is mine and my GFs 1 year anniversary on the Sunday of the Conference, and I'm looking to get a table somewhere nice, and (unfortunately
) she is a veggie, which cuts down the options.
As I have no idea about restaurants in Miami, especially veggie ones, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Emergen-C is WAY better than Gatorade...
but Emergen-C + Gatorade is the way to go. I can't recommend this enough! My g/f and I go through at least a box every year.
