yea miami is backwards. if you have never been to WMC, trance there always gets the shaft. There have been some epic lineups and maybe 40 people show up. I can count at least 5 with massive lineups for trance that got no shows over the last few years. Shit I am scared for many this year. This one, Andy Moor party, Andy Duguid party, Spin Showcase Party - just to name a few. Where these artists would pack a stadium if all together anywhere outside of the US (even without a bigger name to this event per say) or at least within the US as a trance stage at a massive festival in LA for example, but in Miami especially during WMC (which is more house and electro) trance doesnt do to well.
So as stacked as this event may seem to us trance fans, dont have high expectations as the lineup is now. Just go to have fun. Unless they add an Armin or what not, I just dont think it will work out all that well. But we shall see. I mean i will be there for sure cause its my type of lineup but others there prefer other events and genre.
Well I think you just need to look at two things, to see that this party MIGHT have a light crowd:
a) What other parties are going on? DJMag and Flying Circus and Surfcomber.
b) Can people see these artists somewhere else? Yep.
Those reasons could hurt any party...and from what I am gathering, the WMC regulars expect them to hurt this party.
I'm looking at this party with the glass half full, I think party will be a success

Woah! Apparently Armin, Sander, and Markus will be added to this pool party. If this is true, I think this will be the best event period during WMC - pool party or night party. I mean this with The Friday Spin showcase event and thats an entire years worth of quality trance artists. Both of these events single handedly can be their own ASOT or what have you.
However, the only slight concern I have is they better announce it fast to compete with others. Plus since they cant list AvB they need to get Gaia or whatever they pick (if he is going to be there) on the flyer fast so word of mouth can spread.
Soo stoked if this is the case. And that would make sense why they went with the cost to use the National hotel for this event. Massive location.

I expect a number of trance djs will show up to hang out this party.
Oh didnt know he is at the beatport gansevoort thing. Yea ill believe it when i see it as well. I mean the new flyer has moved the names around and has a blank spot for the three names on the top left now.
if they will be doing those three names, better promote that shit fast. I mean the beatport lineup will be out monday or tuesday (rumored) so id say they should beat them.

What gansevoort event is he doing? I thought he doesnt have an event besides Dream and Nocturnal outside of Ultra.

Isnt get physical there as well though? Unless Get Physical is at the pool and this is outside on the beach?
Also, i thought it was beatport as well as xm because of the rumor that beatport will set up a stage at the beach outside of the gansevoort hotel. But that might start thursday or friday at that location.
Also, funny they list Above and Beyond when they are "exclusive" Guess the contract is different then we thought. They can maybe be listed if its a free event but not a paid event perhaps. Dunno.
Wonder how they will list Armin for this one if he is indeed playing. If it says special guest or just an alias.

+ I think SiriusXM might have an agreement with Ultra, which could help around the Exclusive tags. But in my opinion, that's a waste of a trip up to the gansevoort for that party. Could be packed since it's free, so may have to wait to get into a short ass party. More so than that, though, is the fact that these XM parties usually consist of like 30 minute sets from the djs, just because XM needs something in the background while they broadcast and do their interviews** on the air.
...and I'll believe Armin at The National when I see it on the flyer. It really seemed like an obvious ploy for ticket sales, with someone registering just for that post. Still, I'd love to see it and hope it's true. Not so much for Armin, but for the crowd that would show.
**If anybody can find it, I suggest taking a listen to Paul Oakenfold doing an interview at one of these parties on XM last year. Holy shit, dude was wasted and blatently plugging jose cuervo over and over again. hahaha
Not that I'm against more DJ's being added to this lineup, but it would kinda ruin my point that this event looks like a sell out even with the awesome lineup given so far! 
I know that tix go up in price based on demand and they already went up once with this still being over a month away, so I think there's good demand for WMC's first Trance pool party!

Problem with that is there are too many buildings in WMC if you will. Thats why the addition of Armin, Markus and SvD will give this event the boost it needs to become top notch epic. And still from 11am-10pm with 11 or so artists, thats really good for a pool party.
And yea the Sirius sets are short but in the past they were held at rooftop events or at ultra's vip area. This sounds different though. Either way, I am really glad there is a strong push for trance this year. Sure it is the same artists over and over and in the end it might hurt trance, but perhaps spreading the names around even on flyers while people might not show up will help for next year through name recognition. All we really need is for these events to break even and make some money here and there.
Hope the beach party lineups will come out soon.
Ok from my source Armin, Markus and Sander WILL be added. Not sure when they will be released on a new flyer. I wont believe it till I see it as well. But its a reliable source. We shall see.
So glad I got presale tickets for this epicness.

Well, I think we're in for a party regardless. The hits are piling up pretty quickly on wantickets, which isn't an exact indicator, but usually a pretty good sign.
