I don't think many of you know or understand the cost of having a weekend of that scale in NY. It is better that they are selling tickets now because it was very under capacity last year. Ultra doesn't offer lineup until New Year's, why would people expect them to for Electric Zoo. They announced having it during Sunday School, it would be nice if we could get some lineup info then. If they do, for sure I will post it on TA the second I hear it.

Just found out about this today. I'll be there. for sure. awesome! as far as a lineup is concerned, I'm pretty sure I'll be pleased with at least half of it. if anything, last year I jumped around a lot because I wanted to see different people playing at the same time.

i hope they bring back those lazers....

Made should announce the lineups, especially when presales for Electric Zoo are higher than presales for Ultra. They have had many successes in the NY area, pretty nice reputation no doubt, but being full of themselves by not announcing the lineup is not the way to go. Not like they care anyways..but a good start would be to announce phase 1 now so people here at least know they are getting a great deal on presales. Its like someone else mentioned on the ASOT thread, announce the lineups and those that want to go can go.

Also, Made, your lineups for the Afterparties, were not particularly impressive last year. I hope you guys step it up a bit this year, looked more like a regular Pacha night to me.

Here's hoping Electric Zoo turns into the SMC

Posted by DJslantzz on Feb-17-2010 00:15:

LOL @ how this is turning into a Made-bashing thread. We should be freaking thanking them for bringing a party of this magnitude to NYC. I understand the tickets may seem steep compared to other festivals overseas, but that's probably because of the cost for each DJ's travel/hotel etc. not to mention the high permit/license costs in NY...

anyways, just my 2 cents . I can't wait for this year's zoo!

EDIT: And no, I sure as hell dont work for Made haha

Summer Music Conference, sounds nice. Part of the events can happen on Coney Island

Hoping Area and Massive throw some parties that weekend as well.

I didnt mean to bash Made, if thats what my comment came out as my bad. I enjoy Made Event events, my first was Armin last April and I support them as much as I can. All I am saying is that there is room for improvement and that presale tickets prices are outrageously expensive considering its still February and we still have over half a year to go. I miss the days when lineups were announced before making people pay. The lineup better be epic if thats what they are charging at the moment.

You sure you dont work for Made? Just kidding.

When it really comes down to it...130 bucks for over 50 Artists, and 2 Days of awesomeness? It's worth it.

BIG +1.

So did anyone else get their tickets yet? I want to get them before the price jumps up because they are already 125 with a ridiculous service charge.

I'm sure I'll be satisfied with the lineup because last year was great. The one thing I liked about the show was the fact that everyone played exactly right on time and everyone was really into it..Can't wait for EZ2010

No.

I'm waiting to see if the lineup gets announced and/or if you can pick up the tickets in person to avoid the service charge.

I'm definitely going there this year, but I'm not going to pay $26 for ticket processing for an outdoor event that has no max capacity. I don't see any logical reason why it would cost Ticketweb $26 to process you order besides them raping your wallet for pure profit.

+1.

And I agree with the other posts, I wish there was a way I could buy this ticket now and avoid the ridiculous service fee. Made, Im willing to buy the ticket, I really am, I just dont want to pay the service fee. Really wish there was another option for purchasing tickets.

It is.

Considering how insane last year turned out to be, I can't see Made not upping the ante this year. And based on some of the parties that they have coming up before then, announced and unnanounced, I'm sure it will be well worth it.

The after party situation blew LOADS last year.

I hate this exclusive shit that MADE/ULTRA do. Atleast with WMC it's quite obvious in the PERFECTO PRES.. who the "SPECIAL GUEST" will be.. or for ANJUNABEATS "SPECIALS GUESTS".

Yeah I dont see anything either. I think Made said they werent going to bring anything in terms of lasers this year. Part of a new going green initiative. Every tent will have a boombox and artists are just asked to play each song one by one.
