How about Tony Loreto? Or JoJo Flores? Dennis Ferrer?

Mathias Meyer is one I would love to see here. Cobra would be prefect for him. Stimming, and Solomun are also on my wish-list for deep house nights. Although they're ... 'techier'.

+ fukin one on Dennis

I got there around midnight last night and saw some weird FETISH party going on, everyone in black leather and whips. It sounds like you didnt quite notice that......

lol, did you go on Saturday night? or Friday night? And you went to Stone Lounge in the basement, right? Not revival upstairs?

Because that does sound pretty weird for a Fabricated party!

I don't remember leather but I could've been so wasted I maybe wouldn't have paid too much attention.

Are there any lounges/intimate clubs in toronto that play deep house or even progressive house? I dont want the sardine experience government gives, nor the hardcore music. The only place DECENT that I can think of is Footwork and while the music is awesome, theres nowhere to sit and chillout and talk with people. Lets just say i wouldnt mind music along the lines of nick warren or ben watt.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Andy Poolhall is cool, but loud as hell (and the music is much different).

Thanks!

C Lounge, intimate setting but no progressive house. They drop a couple deep house tracks but it's mostly the mainstream. Check it out. I used to go there on Monday nights.

Noooo way!! I left really early (quarter after 12) b/c I worked in the morning and needed rest for Cosmic Gate (I've been marathoning wayyy too many weekends, to the point where I forget when my last weekend was of going out less than 2-3 times). Damn, I wish we had a rendez-vous!! <3

Posted by mnemonic. on Feb-23-2010 04:52:

Seriously though, Kamil, I hope that didn't ruin it for you and that you make it to the next Fabricated Party

Its not gonna be easy asking my friends to try and go there again! Is it only on fridays that they play deep house? Is there even a cover charge?

Yeah, figured. There's a Fabricated party every month. I think it was no cover for the last two times, and for Neil Quigley back on boxing day it was free until 11.

That was upstairs in Revival on Saturday night, they had going on on Sat. On Friday night, they had Hip Hop karaoke upstairs in Revival & Fabricated downstairs in Stone Lounge...I was at both. Both, Upstairs & Downstairs on Friday night that is...not the Fetish

+ 1

Also, I really liked the crowd there! Lots of surprisingly familiar faces.

This thread is fuckin awesome! How did it take me so long to find it????

Great calls on all the deep house dj's and event here in Toronto guys. I also used to really like PAEEZ on College St., but again, the quality of the event is based on the music (which changes each week).

You'll definitely get a consistent house sound coming from the Fabricated parties @ Stone Lounge. Too bad you went on the wrong night Kamil.

Kamil - you'll find over the rest of 2010 that Toika Lounge will have some events that tickle your fancy. They have a dancefloor for partying, and couches/tables that are away from that for chilling. Keep your eye out for March - June at that venue. Me likey!

I agree that Cobra is a fabulous venue, but it's not really a place to be able to get away from the music to chill. The tunes are usually rockin (which is cool), but I wonder about the booths that are right in the dancefloor. Fabulous sound tho.

Hmmm.....what else....you should actually follow some of the events Dirty Dale does (great deep/soulful house), but be careful of the venues. Some are very intimate, but he also does big ones like Revival (no seating....or at least limited).

Fantastic thread Kamil! Thanks for starting it.

The biggest problem I have with a lot of these venues on College street is that they are ON COLLEGE STREET.

That place is a hell hole to get into. Impossible to find parking, and even if you park a distance away, there's no parking after 1 am, and you'll find yourself with a ticket. I hate heading to college street straight up because of the parking.

Man, I seriously can't wait for the next fabricated party at Stone though.

Chris, thanks for the info on the dirty dale events.

I would say keep an eye out for Pat Boogie nights too. He'll throw parties at atypical venues. Maro in liberty village (I think)back in December comes to mind, and Kerri Chandler at the Courthouse a few weeks ago. (I heard the courthouse is a beautiful venue)

Damn right. He brought Martinez brothers in a year or so ago to Revival--unbelievable event. Eye popping. Or ear popping. Whatever.

Solution = park well east of Little Italy, & then street car it in. I take the car everytime and it's perfect!

Yup. I got a nice ticket there last Friday night actually. I HATE the green P street parking in Toronto, I never seem to read the signs right. I got one for the same reason right by Film too, that's 2 within 2-3 weeks. Gr, partying is getting expensive.
