Here it is:

I just printed it out and brought tape and scisors into the car. I worked on the sign on my way to Evanston to get on the L. I felt like I was doing an art project.
oink...

I live in a small town, Antioch, on the WI border. If you have ever been to Gurnee to see Gurnee Mills or Great America then I am about 10 min north of Gurnee.
I currently work in Vernon Hills until I leave for college. I'm going to be at Iowa State starting August 15th.
BTW, I have never seen so many rug shops in one town! Evanston is loaded with them.
I think we'll get more support for a Midwest USA fourm rather than just a Chicago fourm.
DevanteS: I hope you got pic of the venue and PvD besides the ones of the TA's

First off -
In case you all missed my thread, and I know that blake knows:
I GOT THE MARKER PVD WAS USING TO SIGN STUFF!!!
He signed this one guy's ticket stub, then handed me the marker and got up and ran away!!! I know it sounds ridiculous, but I get a kick out of it. I'm going to label any mix CD I make from now on with it!
It was swank meeting some Midwest TA's. Devantes, who was that chick in the white top you were with?!? She was gorgeous!!!
CKYTEP, Dude, I thought you were a TA, but I didn't want to say anything! I got home and saw your pic and I realized it was you! I was standing right next to you for most of the Johnny Chaos set! I was the guy in the blue polo shirt and khakis. When Devantes posts the pic, you'll see.
And for the record, to anyone who sees the pic, I was tired and sweaty as the day is bright! SO LAY OFF ME MAN! j/k
Later Kids
hahah..dork!

Just getting home from Chicago
I enjoyed the show a ton, but you all are right, it was FUCKING HOT. I have never sweated so much in my life, I thought I was going to pass out. Unfortunately the search at the door found our pack of cigs full of stuff so that was all gone .. fortunately nothing more than them taking it away. It didn't really seem like Paul was into it that much, but I heard he hadn't slept in something like 24 hours so he wasn't very much awake. Oh well, I loved the set, we left @ 1:40 to avoid the crowds getting a cab to Red No, which wasn't that sweet. I tried to tracklist from the beginning but my sheet of paper got sweat soaked. This is what I got to
1. Project Medusa vs Exor - Moonshine (Exor Mix Part 2)
2. Klea - Tik Tok (Paul van Dyk Dub Re-Edit)
3. 4 Strings - Diving
4. John Askew - The Door
5. Paul van Dyk vs City - Suzann
6. Solid Sleep - Club Attack (Paul van Dyk Remix)
7. Sommer Safari - MMDC
8. Paul van Dyk - Forbidden Fruit 2002
9. Ocean Force - Euphoric Dream
10. Ralphie B - Massive (Paul van Dyk Remix)
11. Marco V - I Feel You (Paul van Dyk Remix)
At that point my pen stopped working, so I gave up. Also spun that I remember: Supersonic, Prime Mover - The Weapon, Euphoric Dream, Emerge(Dave Clarke Remix)
However, the sequence of the night had to be ...
For an Angel --> Another Way --> Dreamland
I was floored during this. Amazing.
I hope you all enjoyed your time as much as I did, too bad the ventilation was as it was ... some of the texts were pretty funny too ...
uwmt
ps - DevanteS I think you tried to sell me a ticket around 9:45 ... I was wearing a black sleeveless shirt that said 'FCUK' if you remember
Omg..... last night was insane! I just got back to Madison, and I wish I was still there listening to Paul.
Devantes, were you trying to sell a ticket before the show by any chance ?
uwmadtrance and I were tracklisting once PvD came on. We were doing really well too.. got 13 of the first 15 tracks.. .then the paper got so wet from the sweat due to lack of airflow that it wasn't possible to continue the tracklist. We actually can't even read the tracks that we wrote down, because the ink ran.
Anyways.... here are a few of the tracks that I remember off the top of my head. I'll see what we can get together from our 1st hour tracklist once I take a look at the piece of paper. Nevermind, just got the sheet. Can't read some of it, so bear w/ me
1. Project Medusa Exor - 'Moonshine (Exor Part II)'
2. Klea - Tic Toc (Paul van Dyk Re-Edit)
3. 4 Strings - Diving
4. Vert - 'Sky (DJ Magik Muzik Mix)'
5. ID.. possibly Weapon
6. at this point we were sweating our brains off and went to get water, so missed 1-2 tracks
7/8. Solid Sleep - Club Attack (PvD Edit)
8/9. ID
9/10. Ocean Force - Euphoric Dream
10/11. Ralphie B - Massive (PvD remix)
11/12. Marco V - I Feel You (PvD Rework)
omg... after Massive, uwmt and i decided to go get water, we got about half way to the bar, and then the vocals to I Feel You kicked in, and we ran back to the floor and rocked out.
At this point, the list was ruined because we were both so sweaty that we sweat through our pants from the knees up, ruining everything in our pockets... including the tracklist piece of paper.
Anyways, other tracks that I remember.... complete trainspotting, not in any order...
Antiloop - Trespasser (Robbie Rivera Remix)
Underworld - Born Slippy (PvD Remix)
Nu-NRG - Supersonic
omg... I'm drawing blank. uwmt and I were naming almost every track while we were there, but now I can't think of any for about an hour of the set....
I do however remember we were out in the main area upstairs and we heard For An Angel mixing in, and we got back to the dance floor as quickly as possible... I was in heaven.
PvD - For An Angel mixed to PvD - Another Way mixed into Nu-NRG - Dreamland.....
Track I would have loved to hear....
Fischerspooner - Emerge.... the version he played @ Mayday which is mislabelled as Westbam Remix, not sure what the proper trackname is.
Anyway..... I had an amazing time... wish I had brought my phone. I wanted to give a shout-out to all the TA's on the big screen. sti, I think I might have seen you, not sure. I saw a tall guy in the shirt you posted, so it was probably you. Ok, this post is going on forever, so I'll cut it for now and try to remember more from the night if possible.
Hope everyone had a good time, and thank god he didn't play iio-rapture even though I saw it requested a few times.
Some of the posts that I found very entertaining over the course of the night.....
"Can I buy a vowel....e?"
"Columbian Blow"
"It kicked in"
Oh well... last night was truly a memorable experience.
Good thing you read my post before you wrote yours, since they are the EXACT same.
btw ... my tracklist was completed when I got home, there were a few ID's that I figured out from the EM
PvD review
I had a great time. The drive down there wasnt too bad, but finding the Riv was a little tricky since I've never been there before. I wish we would've gotten there later since I didnt care for the opening DJ's, but it was worth the wait. I couldn't believe PvD's set was almost 3 hours! He choose some great tracks to play too.
I went nuts when he spun "club attack", "take your air", and "for an angel".
The facility was nice since there was plenty of room to move about and the DJ's could be seen easily in all areas, especially upstairs. The one problem was it being so damn hot. At times it felt like I was loosing my breath when I was upstairs, but once PvD started his set the heat wasnt a bother anymore. I just listened and enjoyed the music.
The idea for having real-time text messages appear on the projection screens was definitely neat. I tried sending a message to say hello to all the fellow TA's, but I think I have to pay to use text messaging, so it never went through.
This was my first time seeing PvD live and I couldn't be happier. Just seeing him up there waving to use was incredible! I didnt meet any TA's, but I did meet some people I knew from around my area who I thought had never heard of PvD, guess they did.
All in all it was a great experience and I hope to see him again.
hmmm
Take Your Air... I know this is a Nu-NRG song but I never liked it.
He played like 4 or 5 song/remixes by them in Space. I guess he really like his Italian guys! *G*
I hope to see pics. check Florida Forum for a review / tracklist.
many greetings,
f0x

I was OWNED @

Glad everyone had a good time. I'm sure I will be
ed for saying I was a bit disappointed. I didn't like the progressive stuff he played in the middle and was disappointed to not hear Circa Forever or his edit of Fucking Society, not to mention no Carrera 2. Porky, I think you're off. He didn't play Questions Must Be Asked, but I though I heard him mix the drum/chords in for a second. Weird.
I liked his choice of last track. I f__king have it on a comp or mix somewhere and love it, but can't for the life of me remember what it is! It might be another Fischerspooner tune... Anyone scan through their album and confirm please?
We need this forum BAD!! I am for it 100%
Put this in the suggestion box a while ago, no replies though so it was deleted.....
I support a midwest section all the way! I live north of chicago (by shitty Great America ) and goto school west of chicago. Cant get any more midwest than that unless I were in SD. Any SD TA's around??
BTW
PVD is my god!!
until armin comes to chi town. The venue was....well.....amazing. I cant describe it in any other way

| Originally posted by sti3 It's a petty disagreement, but I consider that more towards the end. The final third IMO started with the first trance track after the boring prog... not sure that was, but it got me going NUTS. The Nu-NRG trifecta (or was it 4 tunes?) really made me happy as well. Those guys sure can produce a euphoric track. Do you think he had any air circulation onstage? If not, really horrible job by the promoters. to the MC....
