I dojt mind at all...then again i also play JRPGs so my taste in games is quite questionablw.
expansion trailer, albeit in german.
Ahhh didn't expect this. 
Expansion is bringing better graphics and performance, plus a range of gameplay tweaks suggested by fans. I know I�m excited!
Good news and bad news on the divinity front.
The expansion, flames of vengeance and the �gold� edition, �dragon knight saga� are released in English this week! (maybe already out in the important parts of the world.)
Some caveats.
If you�ve played ego draconis and just wish to buy the expansion, then apparently you�re missing out on a few of the tweaks and changes made to the game, only available in the re-released dragon knight saga. If you buy the dragon knight saga though, then your save games from the end of ED will not work and you�ll be playing the game from the start. Not a huge deal coz its such a fun game, but good to be aware of. apparently the changes are so wide-ranging that larian couldn�t get everything to work with just the expansion, and they wanted to re-release the game based on consumer and critic feedback.
Really looking forward to getting back into it.

Does that mean I should return the copy of Ego Draconis I just bought and order the new one instead?

No worries, it's still unopened on my desk here 
so, as usual i roam the internet trying to find the best deal (or usually, the first to ship) but finally its up on steam so i reckon that's where im headed.

Oh, I got the torrent for it a week ago. It sucks.
What the...my saves won't work?? Noooooooooooooo. I don't think I can play it all over again, just to see it run a bit better and maybe look slightly better here and there. I may just download this one and give it a go. Definitely not buying it twice.

I thought the original looked fucking great, and had an excellent engine that ran even better than it looked. The only thing that needed improvement were the dialogue animations, but even those were not terribly distracting or anything. Hopefully they didn't change much in the way of performance, because I was floored by how smoothly the original ran.
yeah, well im having a few issues :/
"quick" save seems to take ages, i dont remember it being that bad originally. only quick loaded once, but lost all sound when i did (my mate had similar sound issues in the original).
also my frame rate is pretty ordinary, though i do remember turning stuff down in ED, will continue to play with it.
otherwise, stoked to be back in rivellon
how you finding risen, kinetic? it wasn't gothic 2 for me but still really enjoyed it. the combat felt horrible though after playing divinity, especially as a mage, where all you could do was kite.
