I posted it on here on deal of the day thread.

worse case, could always cancel without any penalty. i should have booked another room just in case. Last year for LE in SF i had 2 extra rooms i hooked TA's up with.

I do have the SE fri-sun at $99, but only king bed. here were the details on it.

they are hosting that WET party on saturday, which could make a stay here worthwhile if youre looking to do pool parties all weekend.

keep an eye on travelzoo. last memorial day weekend stayed at hotel solamar while they had a $109 sale. hard rock is 1 block away.

Booked a room at the Ramada for $123. Not bad I hope. I think its about .3 miles from Hard Rock and Voyeur.

historic building. its a ramada, youre not there to kick it in the room. I'm betting you can find a better deal, so hopefully you didnt get a nonrefundable rate and can cancel later. the have 2 room set ups, where each room has 1 queen, im guessing thats what you got.

The restaurant on site Brians 24, used to be really good. ownership changes, and portions decreased while prices increased. it is open 24 hours a day though for the late night dine.

my friend has stayed at the sofia and said it's pretty small. seems more like a place you go on a romantic weekend, not to party lol. besides, a gf of mine told me walking distance from sofia to voyeur is 8 minutes and from the ramada to voyeur is 2 minutes. 6 minutes less walking (most likely in heels) is a winner to me.

ya im hoping the solamar throws a good deal out, because I like that place, and their rewards program is really good. plus the have hosted evening wine hour. they had $75 weekend rates all summer long I was able to take advantage of it for mem day,June(EDC weekend) and Labor day. still waiting on the low rates...

Thanks for all the scoop on the hotels. I got the Ramada for double queen beds at that price throught orbitz. Laila, can't you girls always cab it there and back? that is always an option, no?

yea of course we can, but what a waste of money when it's so close. i honestly think a cab driver would laugh if we attempted to get a cab from the sofia to voyeur. haha

you wanted to see afrojack!

go to kaskade, better deal!
sucks about sunday, cuz now the competitors can charge $30 and it will be a good deal.

Omni sent me a buy 1 night get 1 free if anyone is interested. Rate is $229, so 2 nights for that price plus taxes. I got my 2 nights for $198, so pretty good deal.

Posted by Laila.OC on May-06-2010 00:04:

i know...and i still do... and so do my friends, so i am most likely still going. once i get over the initial shock i'll be ok. i was just expecting $40 tix...maybe even $60. but $85! geez.

i'm over seeing kaskade, that would be another hotel night and besides i like pool/day parties better

unless they just hate EDM, i'd say any of the big sat or sun nite parties at Rain, or Sunday at Tao for Morillo or Deadmau5/Afrojack at Vanity they'd like. i'd say if they like Tao for hip hop music why not go for Morillo? you probably will be able to get in for free or cheaper than the other events as well for Tao...

thanks!! i think TaO it is.. =)

Actually I remember meeting Canadians on the dance floor a couple on a Morillo night in the past. One word of advice, go early and get a stamp, then go back later, prefereably after 3am when the bottle service peeps finish their bottles and leave. Morillo will play at least until 9am and has gone until 11am in the past. (depends on crowd)

awesome..thanks mikey!! my gfs will definitely be happy about that!
