Rodney Mullen was my hero back when I was into it. I really do want to pick up another board and keep up with it, was a lot of fun.

so i won this free skateboard deck a while ago but its just been sitting around doing nothing, at first i wanted to hang it up as the art on the board is sick...now i think i'm gonna buy some trucks and wheels for it and just use it as a chill ride as i dont think i would be able to pull tricks like i used to.

anyone actually know technical shit? good truck brands? good wheel brands? sizes? oh man bearings too...

true! and if you're not planning on doing anything serious business on it then you won't have to worry about the quality of the deck..

I hate being sarcastic but maybe Skating was only cool to you 10 years ago. Skating is amazing...look at all the tricks you can do with a piece of wood or should I saw layers of ply wood and some trucks and wheels with a few bearings and bolts and NUTS.


I'm sorry but it beats out almost every other alternative sport.

Dude When I skated for years off and on I could even pull off late flips, double heel flips off stairs etc... you prolly a roller skater (the ones with four wheels and make your dog pull you around the gay park)

If you were 10 when Skating was in IMO, I bet you couldn't even push the board fast enough not to mention parents making you where a helmet !!.

I want to hit up the park tonight, but between school, third shift, and lack of food I'm too tired to do anything. There is an old shopping center by my house that I go to at night (the parking lot sucks, but it has smooth pavement by the entrance); actually, I might go there since I'm broke.
