I'm surprised you didn't get it. Lobster rage fist is an underground kind of thing. Seems weird to me, but I dunno, I don't live in America. It started in NYC last year, and most of the EDM crowd seem to be into it. Bas lives in LA and they're getting into it over there already. The fashion part of it is mostly for pool parties though. I'm not sure if NYC is a pool party sort of place?

I use a Canon 50D body.

Most of the time I shoot on Aperture Priority mode, so I manually change the f-stop and ISO depending on the amount of light. The shutter speed is adjusted automatically by the camera, depending on those settings. Full manual mode is too much is a pain in the arse

You don't think there's any stronger motivating factor to move because that's the strongest motivating factor for you. That doesn't mean that that is the reason why everyone else is moving.

All this map does is show people moving. It doesn't say anything about why they are moving. You can speculate about the reason as much as you want, but all you're going to get is a bunch of correlations. Stop being so illogical and thinking that correlation = causation; pretty basic knowledge that it doesn't.

All you have are guesses and speculations, no facts at all.

My motivitations are not unique by any stretch. I never said it was the reason EVERY person was moving, and I'm defintiely not saying correlation = causation... but you can't deny the trend and statistical probability on the motivations. Do you seriously think it's a coincidence? The map does a lot more than "show people moving" man, come on. Look WHERE they are moving to and from. A huge surge from high cost of living to low cost of living; from strongly liberal welfare states to conservative business friendly states.

Most people who disagree with me on this issue are still in school or relatively new to the workplace and simply can't/don't yet relate to the realities of it. Like I said eariler, there's a reason why Utah's business development is surging- and factual data of CA companies uprooting and re-opening across the border shows this. I know it probably kills your liberal mind to think that the policies you support would drive people out of the bluest of blue cities/states and head towards the red... because that would validate a different reality over what you've been pushed to believe. Just talk to any business owner and ask them if they'd rather open or run a company in California/New York vs. Texas/Florida. Money is the strongest behavior management tool ever.

Yea, I do all of my shots on TV (or S on some cameras) - same as you. I have a Canon EOS Rebel G (old film camera) but have really wanted to get a nice d-SLR. I like the quality of your photos.

Yeah, I use TV mode occasionally, but usually only if there is heaps of light, or if I'm using the flash (which is heaps of light I guess, lol).

My only complaint about the 50D is that it's a bit noisy, if you inspect the shots in close. The software (or Photoshop) fixes it up really well though, so it's not really a bit deal. Which camera are you looking to get?

So, up until now, people have been confusing Florida for a state like Alaska, where it is generally colder then most other states. Only in the past year or so, people finally realized their error and began flocking to the Sunshine State.

i love austin. i consider it to be the only redeeming feature of texas and all of its bordering states. it's not particularly beautiful geography or weather by northern california standards, but the people, cost of living and leisure activities are very appealing to young professional living. i'd totally move back if i was offered a job with comparable pay. at the same time i love norcal too much for all the other reasons to leave for any other city besides atx. i have to have killer powder, killer surf, killer cycling backroads, mountains, ocean, and mediterranean climate all accessible within 3 hours drive wherever i live. can't really find that anywhere else unfortunately. the cultural and especially food diversity of cali is also unmatched by any place in the world.
