most of the 'peaceful' protesters were just as moronic as the petty vandals.

some woman got knocked over by police and she hurt her knee, and the guy was saying 'it's just police brutality, nothing else'

just young punks with nothing to do that particular saturday. i thought the cops did a great job. maybe a little excessive on the arrests, but nobody got hurt.

perfect...the media and the people are now focused on the violence and the purpose of the protests(which is a shame because we should be focusing on this) are no longer in sight...smashed windows and police cars being set ablaze is all i'm seeing and hearing now...the first day consisted of peaceful parades then boom ... day 2 black bloc ..

4 - 5 cop cruisers were set ablaze, security for g20 reaching 900$ million plus, 19,000 security personnel deployed ..

I interpreted him as meaning that it's silly to consider such things as the pinnacle of your existence, especially without even considering the global realities that allow you to obtain them so cheaply and easily. I understand that, but it's a dismissive attitude which places his awareness above the society's.
