Once again, booze kills.

dang, 18 people

I read that a guy was climbing the wall and fell backward onto a crowd of people at the entrance of the tunnel. That must of triggered a panic and people just started moving.

The guy on the right is trippin' balls and looks like something imaginary just startled him. The guy being carried is just massively fucked up.

Organizers are defending their concept, saying that an unexpected situation occurred, with people climbing frames and stuff and disobeying security orders. Yeah, I guess with 1.5 Mio. ravers who are mostly drunk or high that is totally unexpected... if you're a clueless moron.

Just got the information from the official press conference. There will no more loveparades in the future. I think this is the right decision. Please tell me your thoughts about this.

Of course this is sad, but IMO there's no need to cancel the whole event because of this.

Tiesto. And I want him to stay alive for a while so he can think about all the wrong he's done.

Wahhhh, sucks you shits cannot appreciate the irony of human beings being trampled to death at an event called Love Parade. Yes, it's sad. Yes, everyone becomes a number at some point. Life is a comedy and death is the ultimate punchline.

I guess it's really not all that funny that people died, but some of your fucking reactions are of comedic value. WHAT TYYYYPPICALLLL RAVERS YOU ALL ARE, AMIRITE? SO EMOTIONAL, GOSH!

BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS NOW INIIT??

Traditionally, in an internet forum thread involving a tragic event, at some point a user will throw in some wit and cynicism and then courageously defend his tactlessness to gain some extra virtual coolness points. Both boring and pathetic.

They should all be perm banned ... scum .....

Traditionally, somebody also comes along to make astute observations of said behaviour in an attempt to pigeonhole the banality of the target user's posts, inadvertently exemplifying themselves as the very same sort of forum jockey they are seeking to criticize.

Show a little respect for the dead and stay silent, why don't you?

Quintessentially, it can be said, other people will observe that said posters have engaged in dark humor in the form of self-reference paradoxes at effort to allay the tension over social boundary transgression and be drawn into participating thus, where-as they had initially refrained from joking directly about the issue, this participation allows them to relieve their own inner-tension through a transference onto ideas which are altogether less traumatic and dissociated from events precipitating the thread to which participation is now joined.

Furthermore, this participation also allows said poster to engage in the context of the thread without treading on the feelings of those who are, perhaps, a little too emotionally invested in the tragic circumstances. Of course, some asshole will come along and point out that the apparent neutrality is nothing more than a perverse charade aimed at maintaining a poorly engineered social standing that, if said poster had any balls, he probably would have simply posted, "I was going to go but I heard it was packed" and would therefore enjoy less of a social stigma.

All told, following the former posters advice would have resulted in the best outcome.

All told, it was a predictable outcome.
