There is a lot wrong with Ottawa. Did you not read what epicaricacy wrote;

He only said that because he thinks it would counter his raging case of Ebola.

hmmm... that might not happen....

smart man. This city is great for catching up on sleep, saving money, and surfing TA all day.

I would recommend Cornwall over Ottawa even

Ottawa is definatley a little lame, But they do have some Good Pubs & Pub grub!

Posted by Ms Haus on Aug-25-2010 19:47:

DarknessBrotha has definitely been drunk in Ottawa at least once or twice. Probably right in my neighborhood too.

You know what you're getting into when an event advertises "live DJ's".

Posted by Enjoy on Aug-26-2010 16:28:

I hope OEMF takes off, there ae some good ppl putting on the event.. great location for me personally, can go have lucky charms at work then walk down.

Could have been a good event but the Rainman was djing, the curse continues

As SPIN has told me, my Ottawa status is hanging by a thread... still working on getting cut loose, with some help from some of my good friends ;-)

But it won't be much longer...tick...tock...tick...tock...

Okay friends, I need to decide the next Stereo night. Last time I went was for DT... Now, I love techno, I love tech house, but it's pretty much all I've heard the last 4 times I go to Stereo. Can anyone make me any suggestions as to who to check out? Maybe funky, lush, deep, melodic kinda house? Anyone? I was looking into Behrouz tonight but can't make it I got a soccer game early tomorrow morning, damnit. Looks like my next outing will probably be D-Formation and more techno lol

Posted by WittyHandle on Aug-28-2010 17:50:

Behrouz can be amazing depending on what he plays. Last time I saw him I wasn't feeling it at all, but the two times before I loved it. I'd love to hear something along the lines of what you described, but don't see anything like that in the pipeline. Have you seen the Martinez Brothers yet? You might want to check them out, they put out a great vibe, much more on the upbeat party lines.

My buddy really wants to see The Martinez Brothers, looks like that's a big possibility. Next time Chus & Ceballos are at Stereo I will be checking them out as well, still haven't seen em at Stereo.

Behrouz is an old Fav. Seen him numerous times and yet to be disappointed. One of my Fav sets was back in 05 When he closed for MAX G. He's the kind of DJ once he catches...He's literally on FIRE...Really amazing on the longer type sets. So when its Behrouz All night Long...You're in for a treat.

The biggest sleeper of the year for me was the Martinez brothers,
on their First Book @ Stereo. Going in didn't have any expectations...left feeling like it was a party I hadn't experienced before. They Tore the place apart. Endless energy, Lotta passion, pumping antics a very versatile track selection. Go for TMB
C & C will always be in Montreal.

Posted by Spin Laden on Aug-28-2010 22:49:

I'd suggest TMB as well, go catch C&C at Black and Blue.

They will play deep and tech, TMB, bit of a change from what you've been hearing a lot of lately.

Thanks! I will definitely go check them out, but I'm craving Stereo right now hahaha.. I haven't been since DT.

So, I realized who Stereo needs to book. John Digweed, hahaha.. I just listened to his EM from May, man that mix is just so solid. Dark prog and techno but with lots of melody, his programming sequencing, and mixing is just so fucking solid. People will say that his last EM was far from the best, but that's just because his style evolved. If I could hear a set like Diggers' EM at Stereo I'd cream my pants.
