What a no talent douche. And here I was giving him credit for being able to play an instrument.

I ended up taking about 10 videos of myself that night, none of which I'm willing to look at for a very long time.

Okay, good. Yeah my friend took it out and shot it a couple times and I was just like "wait...that's a real gun?"

It was fun shooting at targets and all that, but it still felt like I was shooting a bb gun or something.

Yeah 22's are pretty small calibre, they are mostly for hunting and target shooting.

The good thing about small calibre is that it doesn't have as much recoil, meaning your chance of higher precision increases.

Guns are made for different purposes and the calibre and buck/throw on guns tends to come with the intended purpose and uses - particularly bullet thrust/tumble/range

Any assault style weapon will have more recoil because they are intended to take out area rather than points. Although you also have multiple settings on most assault weapons - this is to allow some to be more effective in ammunition preservation or in some cases of assault rifles in increasing precision for multipurpose distance engangements rather than close in assaults.

The fun guns are usually personal assault weapons. Most hunting weapons are all precision shooting.

Also isn't ar15 a 22?

looks pretty snug.

Funny how they never offer front and rear views on the shots. To really get the profile of a weapon it is nice to see its true shape.. its a bit like 3d compared to cave paintings, nothing wrong with cave paintings - however 3d tends to be seen as more graphic.

.22 is just the calibre of the gun, the 'cap gun' .22 long rifle has a small casing and lighter bullet, but its still exactly the same calibre as most of the NATO assault rifles. They have a much larger casing, slightly heavier bullet and higher velocity so they will have a little bit of recoil... or a lot of you fire them on full automatic!

All this talk of guns is making me want to shoot one. My boss has a whole arsenal. My dad has some too and a large enough yard to shoot in. Maybe next time stop by I'll take some target practice.

I just got a Nikon D90 today and did a quick test shot.

This is my AR-15. I replaced my Trijicon ACOG with Nikon M-223 scope yesterday.

How do people own assault rifles???? Is it just me or does that seem like an incredibly asinine thing to be legal.

If anyone quotes the 2nd amendment I will shoot you in the face with a fully automatic gas-powered carbine rifle.

I do not have an assault rifle. Its a semi-automatic rifle. An assault rifle is a rifle that fires more than one round for each trigger pull. Oh and i do not think you are insane. You are entitled to your opinion. Many people agree with you. Many people do not.

What he is trying to say is that its a weapon the military uses. It's not for hunting or personal security. It's purpose is to kill people. So in that respect is doesn't matter if its semi or fully automatic, which is more of a legal distinction.

Right.

No, its not a weapon that the military uses. The military uses assault rifles. That said, In Arizona it is legal for me to buy an assault rifle or "Class III" weapon here. but it is heavily restricted and many laws that you have to know and abide by to have one weapon. A common criminal probably doesn't want the BATF go into their lives or an the mininum volunteer their fingerprints.

But i will play along with your statment. You say it is to kill. Well that is not correct. Take for example me. I have shot thousands of rounds. Not a single living person was even at the very least injured. If you research a bit, you will see that there are many competitions for these weapons as well. I would write more but i'm cooking!

P.S. I'm not trying to say you are wrong. I just saying that there is more than just that thought. Alcohol is worse than these weapons. They will more people than guns.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Aug-29-2010 04:39:

Alcohol probably ends up creating more people than it kills, to be fair.

It's incredible isn't it? One of the major reasons why I would never raise kids in the US.

You're probably right, an ex-penal colony would be a better place to raise a kid.

america is an ex penal colony you stupid fuck.

Posted by Fledz on Aug-29-2010 05:09:

Convicts ie Australians aren't necessarily stupid, they just needed to be reformed.

Retards/idiots/morons ie Americans passed on their genes to their kids and lo and behold, are still idiots to this day.

See, now you're just being silly. The British royal family these days is nothing more than a left over 'formality' so to speak, from an era long gone. Just like in Canada, South Africa, and New Zealand, they have nothing to do with the running of the country. The only impact they really have for us is that we get a public holiday in June for the Queen's birthday.

Perhaps we should talk about American heads of state, past and present?

What do assault rifles have to do with raising children?
