What time did you show up? I saw quite a few strollers in the early evening.

That maybe said about other raves but this Disney. The outfits worn by dancers is what the company approved.

oops, typed too fast. Didn't see you wrote EDC.

Hey strollers at EDC, wouldn't surprise me. Some of them crazy ravers could've used them.

Was she actually DJing? She didn't seem to be doing much up there aside from occasionally twisting a knob.

But it was fun. Lots of Daft Punk of course. Glowfest over the summer was fun, but a bit cheesy. ElecTRONica eliminates a lot of the cheese.

Disney even considering throwing a rave in Hollywood Blvd is a trip.

She was, she was using Serato or Traktor Pro.

From what I could tell she was. But than again, it all has to tie in with the laserman show

Posted by DjWoody on Oct-11-2010 16:23:

She was mixing. Granted, they were all dance remixes of popular songs, but she was mixing. I'm sure Disney told her to follow that format. When Laserman came one, she stopped playing for like 15 min.

I have been hearing about Daft Pubk at Coachella...

Posted by Brandt Slater on Oct-13-2010 20:15:

For those interested in submitting or interested in DJing at Disney's Electronica, you want to speak with Tony LaBianca who is in charge of talent casting. I don't have a direct number for him, but you call the main Disneyland number (714) 781-4000 and ask the operator to direct your call to Tony. I'm not certain on what he may ask for, possibly a demo cd and/or maybe an audition. Hope this info helps.

On a side note. All the dj gear is new. We installed a week ago. 2-CDJ-2000, and DJM-800. You can augment the system if you wish. Like bring in and extra CDJ or something, but I would ask first just in case.

But this year it has the most credibility...

Disney made it seem like they were bringing in international djs. Guess they are keeping it local - which is cool. Just had the wrong idea. This still is pretty awesome. Just need at least one event where it goes till real late like paris with tiesto.

It would be pretty cool to see a big namer in the booth. The last big name to play at the park was Paul Oakenfold. He played on Tom Sawyer Island for some private party or something like that. Two reasons why they can't go late. Hotels, and City of Anaheim.

If a big name comes out, none of us would know until the day of or it will be a complete surprise. There's no way the park could control a huge Tiesto type following.

No it doesn't.

I can confirm with Sergio on this one. I have it that the tour is starting in April.

As for Disney - still need to make it out to that.

I "went" to ElecTRONica last night...i guess i thought it was a show or something? im still confused about what it is. hahaha

Posted by DjWoody on Oct-19-2010 00:00:

hahaha it's nothing more than a time killer for those waiting to see World of Color. It's more like a street party than anything else. They just themed it with Tron stuff all over. Did you see the 3d sneek preview?
