Phil Hughes sucks ass. He can't go an inning without giving up 1-2 runs.
Girardi should have pulled him out after the 4th.

![]() Freddy "Sez" Schuman, the longtime New York Yankees fan who made a tradition out of bringing signs to Yankee Stadium and encouraging the crowd to cheer by banging together a spoon and frying pan, has died at age 85. Schuman died at Lenox Hill Hospital on Sunday afternoon after suffering a heart attack on Friday night, according to longtime friend Chuck Frantz. A hospital official confirmed Schuman's death. "It's a sad day for Yankee fans and for anyone who knew Freddy," Frantz said. Schuman, who was known around the ballpark as "Freddy Sez," often walked around the stadium during games with an inspirational message for the Yankees written on white posterboard. He also would bang a frying pan and a spoon together to encourage fans to make noise. He attended most Yankees home games. Yankees fans, if you have photos with 'Freddy Sez' -- tweet them at us. We'd love to see them, and it'd be a fitting tribute to a super fan. Twitter Examples of Schuman's signs included: "Freddy sez: Again & Again, Yankees prove they are great." Another read: "Freddy sez: Yankee Stadium gave birth to champions!" His spoon and frying pan were donated to the Baseball Hall of Fame and to the Yogi Berra Museum, according to Frantz, who is the president of the Lehigh Valley Yankee Fan Club. Frantz said Schuman has been showing up to Yankees games for the past 22 seasons. He was last at the Stadium for Game 3 of the American League Division Series when the Yankees took on the Minnesota Twins. "It's just a shock to everybody that he's gone because now you won't hear that frying pan and that spoon banging," Frantz said. "He's really, really going to be missed." yo B, make that bday wish happen on the mount 2nite.
let's go andy
and texiera needs to get it goin on tonight
I think the Yankees are done.
Game 1 they barely squeaked by. Game 2 Texas shut them down. Game 3, tonight, they bend over to Cliff Lee.
Now I know the 8-0 score isn't as bad as it looks, considering Texas' rally was in the ninth inning and the Yankees held them off the scoreboard for the previous seven innings after that Hamilton 2-run homer.
But the real problem is that the Yankees can't fucking hit anymore. The ENTIRE team is in a slump. Texiera has been hitless this series. The same thing happened in the 2007 ALDS against Cleveland...the entire team was in a slump (besides Matsui) and they never got out of it.
Another problem with the Yankees is that they incapable of scoring any runs during the first five innings of any postseason game. Outside of the Game 3 victory against Minnesota in the ALDS, every game the Yankees have played this postseason they've had to come from behind. Watch it happen tomorrow too...Texas will sit on like a 3-0 lead while the Yankees wait until the 6th inning to even think about putting a rally together.
Now if the Yankees take both games tomorrow and Wednesday, they only have to split back in Texas to win the series. But what's probably going to happen is that they'll split the next two games in Yankee Stadium and head back to Texas down 3-2, which isn't winnable IMO.
