yesss, forgot about simcity 2000. each new sim city got better and better, but sim city 2000, with the arcologies and everything, holds a special place in my heart.

and brad, commander keen 4 was basically my gaming childhood packed into 1 3.5" floppy. LOL. that and Pushover and D-Generation.

Hahah, yeah, I don't really know why I never got into Sam and Max. I've got all classics on my hard drive again waiting to be played native on my old pc though

all the point'n'clicks I mentioned have this fantastic atmosphere, like GK 1 for example (the non-talkie btw, I hated Knight's voice in the talking one); the music, the bookstore, drinking coffee every morning, Mosely. All in all it's just a fantastic game, begging to be played twice or even more.

To name something out of the point-and-click range I'd have to say

Total Annihilation or Command & Conquer. Having them both would be awfully tasteless obviously, since they both sort of are classics that every other person ever to own a pc would name.

yeah man, for sure. GK1 is one of my favorite PnC's next to BaSS. and yeah i suppose gabriel's voice was kinda gay, sounded like a southerner with down syndrome (though i understand why he spoke in that manner). the narrator voice wasn't half bad though, and the actual acting itself was solid, imo.

back to D-Generation, if you guys haven't played it, you should check it out. it's a ton of fun, and so goddamned frustrating trying to figure out all the puzzles. i've never actually beaten the game, it gets ridiculous in later floors.

I think after Sim 2000, the game started to cater to the hard-core sim-fanatics. What I like about Sim 2000 is that it's the perfect balance of small details vs just making a damn city.
