im gutted I was soooo looking forward to seeing UMEK. I wish promoters would have spread the word faster....i would have spent my night on uni work instead !
At least i got the word when i was in the parking lot. Cut my losses and went back home. This has to be my shortest trip to TO ever lol

ya it sucks, I was really looking forward to hearing him... it was a scramble to find a replacement and we didn't want to formally announce anything until we had that in place...
we lowered the door price to $10 and added Carlo Lio to the bill, needless to say the place is going off right now...
we're re-scheduling a new date as we speak...
(and of course, sorry for any inconvenience this caused anyone, the news was just as disapointing to us)
Well theres somethings you can't control.
Good on Footwork for bringing in some of the most remarkable talent in the business on a continuing basis.
I'm sure he'll be back!
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement...but once i heard Carlo was taking umek's place it saved the party. Overall it was a great night and I had tons of fun (like I always do at FW).

as sad as i was to hear that umek couldn't make it, i was equally happy to hear that carlo would be the replacement... after all, i still got to see some of the best toronto dj talent, and footwork was happening... i was shocked at seeing a lineup outside all night even though the headliner cancelled, meaning people still wanted to party, which was great

Carlo was a solid replacement. Addy was great, but he needs to tone down the bass a little.. It got a little too overwhelming at times. Overall, it was a good night.
