Couldn't embed the video, but watch that and think for a second before you start crying about bouncer pushing somebody down.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Dec-21-2010 21:09:

^^ so wait...you're saying that because somewhere in the world a few people mercilessly beat the shit out of other people that justifies any sort of violent behavior?

brilliant.

Posted by Ridexer on Dec-21-2010 21:14:

Nope, just that bouncer pushing people stepping on his face is fucking mild.

Their job is to keep order in the club, talk is great, but it alone just can't keep all the assholes under the leash.

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Dec-21-2010 21:20:

the video from op didn't happen in the club though. if their job is to keep order in the club, which i totally agree with you on, then why push some dude into the street? back him up, keep him off the property... if he gets violent settle him down/hold him down until the cops come because you called them. bouncers should help solve problems, not bring about more ones by acting all egotistical "SAY IT AGAIN. SAY IT AGAIN." ...the bouncer lost his cool and acted unprofessionally i think that's all there is to it.

and don't misunderstand me- i agree with everyone here that the kid gets what's comin to him for being so stupid, but that's not how it should play out.

nyc businesses maintain and are responsible for the sidewalks... bouncers don't work in the club, they bounce people out of it. it is also the bouncer's job to keep the sidewalk clear and peaceful and not create a scene which would negatively affect business.

this bouncer was obviously not a very professional person, but what do you expect, when you have to deal with drunk prep twats in murray hill every night

I still don't see what the big deal is. The kid got pushed. So what?

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Dec-21-2010 22:31:

if you can't grasp that maliciously pushing someone into the street is not in a bouncers job description (and that remaining level-headed certainly is) then i'm sorry, i can't help you.

Wanking at work isnt in my job description, doesnt make it wrong.

Posted by bigsnail on Dec-21-2010 22:51:

that bouncer was way outta line. there was no reason for him to act like that. i hope he gets fired.

Oh, yes it does. It makes you a time thief!

The ideal employee is a humorless, libidoless robot. Unless perhaps you are a comedian or a porn star.

When did you decide to start being a smart arse? I like it.

lol i love people that think they can fuck with bouncers.

i think the 1st thing i learned going out aeons ago is that YOU DONT FUCK WITH BOUNCERS ITS THEIR PLAYGROUND / HOUSE. if you act like a douchebag or piss them off, your fucked. just don't be a fucking mongoloid or do dumb shit, 99.9% you'll avoid anything to do with them.

seriously man. one time i got searched for no reason and i made a comment "really man?" and he straight up asked me "there gonna be a problem" all defensively and shit and 6 other guys came over and i instantly shut up.

another time ive seen bouncers haul a kid off into a back room and then seconds later a guy run in after (another bouncer) with chains around his fist. kid probably got tuned up.

anything goes man. your dealing with meatheads who all they do is get jacked in a gym every day and then just stand around looking to start a fight, you really wanna go head on with kids like that, especially when they got a crew? lolllll

I don't care what's in his job description, the kid didn't get pushed into the street until he came back for more (and more) punishment. When he was pushed on his ass on the sidewalk, that should have been enough to diffuse the situation. The kid's a moron, and I wouldn't have cared if he was run over by a taxi while he was sprawled on the street.

That's not necessarily true. At least in my opinion there would be bar/club security, and then bouncers. The bouncers job in many cases is to handle things that happen OUTSIDE of the club (i.e. some idiot getting in his face yelling "Fuck you" repeatedly). The guy clearly was very patient with him, so I say this falls on the asshole's part. What do you think he was going to do, sit him down and say "Now sir, you are really disturbing the public here, and I would sincerely appreciate it if you would please calm down a bit." You would be right if the bouncer did this on the first time the kid said something, but that kid earned his flight into the street.
