I'd never go through the whole 13-18 thing again, it was utterly confusing and mostly terrible. Then hormones send you mad. 50 is where the hormones change again to torment you with some kind of biological irrationality.

only the women folk: The manfolk are just fine

Basically, this woman thinks life is such a terrible thing that nobody should have kids (and that it is even immoral to have them).

There is actually a circle of these people, "anti-natalists," who all comment on one another's blogs. You can find a lot of them from this page:

http://antinatalism.blogspot.com/

Not exactly light reading.

Yes, having children in this day and age is fucking stupid. You become utterly useless to the rest of society and the world for about 10-20 years depending on how negligent you want to be to your child. Do you realise how fucked up this world is? And people want to go popping out kids because it will fill some silly little void in their silly little lives? Or they were too fucking stupid to keep there legs closed, or wrap it the fuck up? Oh, honey, let's have a baby and go on welfare. And they say you need a license to drive.

Honestly, I'm sure most of what I'm putting forth will be misinterpreted by mouth-breathers, but we as a human collective 'being' need to re-calibrate our hierarchy of needs.

No wonder there are so many goddamn eugenics programs in the world - the stupid people are outbreeding the smart ones.

Yes, if you want to look at the broadest, most depressing ends of the spectrum of age [in today's society] older and younger people are happier.

Older people have lost their fight, beaten into submission from 20-30 years in the employment field, paid a vast majority of their wages to fund wars and line the pockets of the rich and richer.. there is no such thing as cognitive dissonance anymore, the tide of fluoride crystals long since hollowed out any resistance to the flow from the pipeline of lies they have forced/allowed themselves to consume on a daily basis as they sublimely submit to their false idol, the television set. They are content to live out their days watching their family grow, they are near retirement - stress is down, they are finally making a little more money than they have been in the last 20 years, even though their neighbour was just found 'redundant' at his place of employment of 25 years and looking at property forfeiture, and divorce. Change is but a memory of this morning's underwear switch.

Younger people are dumb as fuck (or at least a disproportionate ratio is involved), and the public [fool] school system is happily making it worse. 2+2=5? Sure! We don't want to hurt their feewings (or piss of O'Brien). They have no concept of geography, history, religion (for one or three) but to be more specific: they don't know anything. Their culture is steeped in Pop and sycophancy. We live in a society where knowledge is trivialised and sequestered to crosswords and Jeopardy!. Their parents are likely 3rd or 4th generation workers/robots (Robot means 'worker' in Czech; go figure) and Those that aren't dumb as fuck are still enjoying the unbearable lightness of being and attempting to remain innocent for as long as possible and enjoy what bitter remains of the Earth they have been left by the previous fools. The rest that fall in between are left to choke on a unique mixture of rage and saliva, watching it all fall apart at the seams, waxing alcoholism.

The CoR is a decent microcosm, really.

To add a point to all of this: our notions and comprehension of existence is paltry at best - why are we so worried about future generations being born, here, on Earth? Have we lost the ability to have hope for ourselves? Have we been taught that a family is the be all and end all of life? We have just seen definitive proof of older Universes - Concentric circles in WMAP(Wilkinson's Microwave Background Probe) data provides us with evidence of pre-Big-Bang activity.. existence is everywhere! Why damn another generation of souls to inhabiting this shithole before we sort everything out? We're fucking sinking and we want to add more cargo to the hull?!

Good grief.

Remind yourself of that in a few years while getting your prostrate checked and your proctologist is fumbling around in your bottom like someone looking for car keys or spare change...

BUMP!

Old people can be frustrating, no? How do you suppose the entire population of Armenia, half the population of Georiga, and parts of Azerbajian feel about old people after yesterday?

quote:
Grandma Shuts Down Entire Country's Internet

Internet service in all of Armenia was cut off for several hours when a 75-year old Georgian woman inadvertently cut the main service line between the two countries.

The woman was scavenging for scrap metal when she discovered the primary fiber-optic cable which runs through the two countries. Service went down when she apparently hacked into it with a shovel severing the line, officials said.

"She found the cable while collecting scrap metal and cut it with a view to stealing it," Georgian interior ministry spokesman Zura Gvenetadze told AFP.

The damage was apparently so severe that 90% of Armenian users lost access for nearly 12 hours while neighboring Georgia and some areas of Azerbajian were also affected.

Christened the "spade-hacker" by the local media, authorities arrested the woman just outside the Georgian capitol of Tbilisi where they charged her for damaging property. If convicted, she could face three years in prison.

Copper looting is a common means of making money in the former Soviet Union. Certain scavengers have been known to dig up hundreds of meters of cable.

She, quite literally, hacked the internet.

Nice bump.

Reminds me of a few years ago here. A bunch of retard tradesmen were digging up shit on the Gold Coast, with a huge excavator. From what I understood, they needed some extra dirt for something, and decided to grab it from somewhere close.

They dug up the main fibre-optic link between the states of Queensland and New South Wales. Killed so much internets, lol.

The effect on Qld was that they simply thought it was 1975 again, so no one actually noticed

Seriously, I am on the dipping point according to that chart, but I couldn't be any more happier as I reach it. There is 0 autonomy when you are young and old. I don't understand it.

And being old sucks. I bet you it's just self-deception on old people's part. I can't imagine myself being old, wrinkly, and forgetful.

I'd love to see a comparison among people ages 35-55 divided into six groups:

1. Married with kids
2. Married without kids
3. Single with kids
4. Single without kids
5. Divorced with kids
6. Divorced without kids

I have a feeling there would be some large differences in happiness levels.
