Actually, my brother's the one who plays SF4 more often. I joined him one day and all I remember is that the female characters were more agile and funny so I'd always pick them.

For Lira: Modesty is something that is very admirable amongst MEN.
I leave you with this...
From the play "Mother Courage"
You saw sagacious Solomon
You know what came of him,
To him complexities seemed plain.
He cursed the hour that gave birth to him
And saw that everything was vain.
How great and wise was Solomon.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's wisdom that had brought him to this state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You saw courageous Caesar next
You know what he became.
They deified him in his life
Then had him murdered just the same.
And as they raised the fatal knife
How loud he cried: you too my son!
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's courage that had brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You heard of honest Socrates
The man who never lied:
They weren't so grateful as you'd think
Instead the rulers fixed to have him tried
And handed him the poisoned drink.
How honest was the people's noble son.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's honesty that brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
Here you can see respectable folk
Keeping to God's own laws.
So far he hasn't taken heed.
You who sit safe and warm indoors
Help to relieve our bitter need.
How virtuously we had begun.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
It's fear of god that brought us to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
In part the poem is of the paradox of virtue. How great we praise it when it suits our need. How soon we condemn it when it does not. How soon we abandon it when we fail,
The world merely observes without care or concern. We are insignificant after all.

Although it seems Astronomy seems to be debunked to a degree, I still feel it holds some sort of relevance into a person personality. I'm not sure about planets billions of miles away actually affect our personality! I did say it's not a 100% fact but there is a slight degree of comparison to a person personality and their sign leaving the old fundamentalies out such as Capricorns divine planent is Saturn. But, have you not ever met a person with the same sign as you and they have similar attributes? |

| Originally posted by ModernNosferatu Possibly our ruling planets that are light speeds away from our own earth can definitely be a debate that doesn't directly effect us. I'm currently searching for a sort of update in Astronomy like the way peoples put their own modern day theory on religion. Example: A lot of people thinks Adam & Eve was just a story about a man and a woman but we know they never really existed because if they did we would all be a catalyst of incest. So maybe Astronomy has a new age version as well (that I am search for) I have met people of my sign and they are very similar to me. And Sagittarius people are for the most part very laid back/soft spoken and have a nice disconnection away from other people when they want to do their own thing. But I have found that you have to go to the roots of Astronomy and with that being the foundation it seems to be debunked but I have seen and witnessed in my life people of similar signs act acorrdingly. But then you need to find out what time they were born , whas it a full moon, was their moon in Jupitar, are they on the cusps between two signs...etc...etc...and the list goes on and on. I learn from this but I still feel inside me mind I can see coralations between signs. I do agree Astronomy is far more interesting than Astrology! |

| Originally posted by stealthman I've been studying astrology long enough now in order to determine how true it is based on subjective analysis of various people that I know and my everyday experimental discourses to determine the accuracy of astrology through the analysis of noticing traits and comparing amongst various individuals, actually proves astrology to be 99.9999% correct (don't ask for facts, study it yourself). People who say it's bullshit are either too close-minded or have an inflated sense of ego shoved far up their ass. The reason why people tend to say it's bullshit is because of some trivial reading printed in newspapers where it obviously doesn't have any relevance to their lifestyle. These are simply for fun, hence why I refer to them as trivial readings. Astrology seems very intricate, and complicated when you steep further into its details of how it all works behind our physical and mental makeup. I for example, am a Capricorn with Cancer as my ascendant. Capricorns are typically seen or described as a monotonous, boring bunch, always located on the sidelines of a social event whilst suddenly becoming the center of all sardonic humor and sarcastic wit (just like Lira, no offense ). I however have Cancer as an ascendant (where the ascendant is our inner psych). What suprised me was that nearly everything about my personality was based on typical Cancerian attributes, the begrudging, sensitive, emotional, irritable, introverted type with a penchant for anything with a sense of darkness or melancholic (not in an emo way but yes sometimes!). To verify this shit was all true, I've compared myself to other Capricorns and differed MAJORLY. Once again, every human being contains a unique astrological composition. Nobody is the same. And btw, I have never met a Gemini in my entire life who was not dualistic or had a knack for endless conversation and debate, ever. So there. |

The only possible tiniest bit of credibility I could give to astrology is that it, in some way, relates to the age differences between children who are grouped together during their developmental stages, as a result of the school calendar. It's the same reason that a huge percentage of hockey players are born in one particular month of the year (the one that precedes the age cut-off for Canadian junior leagues; those kids have an obvious advantage toward getting on the best teams with the best coaches, which, in turn, produces more pros).
That has fuck all to do stars and specific dates, though, so

Also explain why these effects occur after birth (haha!) and not from the moment of conception. you are a nutter. |

| Originally posted by ModernNosferatu I don't mean to come off as a nuttier, but religion and Astronomy has to have a slight evolution to it as years go by. In other words....the artifact of the past has to be evolved as people stumble across the old meanings of this and that and change them to fit their modern day beliefs, morals.... etc. But, as our knowledge expanses due to each generation being smarter than the last, we adapt new solutions to past ideals. Each generation is getting smarter as we all know. Since I am 34 this put me in a position where I can recognize it but then again I have been mentality ill since I was 17 thus saying everything I belief to be is false. |

All I ask in my drunken state, is that you don't compare me to ********.
First of all he bided on a lot of records I was selling on eBay !
Second: I don't know what country he says he is from but when I banned his bid on eBay...he had a USA account...not quite sure where he said he was from but his eBay account was an USA account.
I will try to find the post where this all went down at!
He wanted my recorded so bad that after I banned him from bidding on my records since he had the negative feedback,he created a new account and I let him slide. I know a lot about ******** and he stole my ModernNosfratu as his place.

| Originally posted by Lira Metaphysics wise, you're right: Both are hard to swallow, and I said that. However, astrology can be naturalised if you drop the astro- and turn it into some sort of psychology (so perhaps astronomy and psychology may have rendered astrology obsolete for ever). As Malcolm Gladwell pointed out in his book "Outliers", most hockey players in North America are born in January (Capricorn/Aquarius), February (Aquarius/Pisces), and the first weeks of March (Pisces) because of how the calendar works. So one might say that Capricorn/Aquarius/Pisces are more inclined to become hockey players in the relevant countries, though one should also try to explain why this isn't in the realms of traditional psychology. |

Like I said, a good theory doesn't need to be true in the realist sense, so the only challenge is: What sort of facts can be explained by astrology that can't be explained by traditional science already? A conceptual reformulations would be welcome, but not exactly crucial; |

I think C.Viper is an Aries. She has red hair, and she gets aggressive on the knockdown. Let's not forget she has fire n stuff.
