Edit: One thing I've learnt is that I'd rather support djs that stay true to their sound and craft rather than those that jump on the bandwagon of whatever the trendy sound is at the time. They're the ones that end up maintaining their relevance for many years down the road.

Trance and EDM Music in general taught me that I should like all Genres of Music equally, as their is always soething "in" them to somehow get people going. No matter how big or small the genre. Some genres/songs get more play out then others. But they all have something. Music is Music.
