Ya, I saw that one, looking for the

4.01 - Big Trance Headliner @ The Quad
6.03 - Big Trance headliner show @ The Tabernacle

Announcements though. You think it'll be a bit longer before you can announce those 2? Should I go ahead and e-mail and see what's up?

Posted by trancension on Feb-09-2011 20:36:

Hmmmm, so no green light to announce all those parties yet?

Unfortunately I am having to say April 1st is being moved to another date. It was supposed to be Ferry Corsten. Will only be a month or 2 later.

I think the thing that is really going to make these events at the Quad and especially at the Tabernacle is not only the talent but the production factor. We will be doing full on LED stage production similar to the LED stage production at Deadmau5 to really set these shows off and set them apart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paY6ETolRDc

5.06 - Big 3 headliner show @ The Quad
6.03 - Big Trance headliner show @ The Tabernacle

i didnt like anything after isos3, i hear people either say 3, 4, or 6 lost them

Posted by trancension on Feb-10-2011 06:04:

I didn't like ISOS'4, but I thoroughly enjoyed 5 and 6. It was 7 that killed him for me though. That's when I started to notice a change in his live set song selection. Was becoming "less trancey."

---------------------------------------------------------------------

And bummer about the April 1st show being moved for me. I'm going down to Miami for a couple of days for WMC/Markus, so I won't be tired from UMF this year. Would have been nice to see Ferry then.

Are your shows at The Quad going to go past 3am, Devin?

yeah, i agree that isos 7 signaled a change in his live sets. isos 7 tour was when he came to opera and was sponsored by armani, right? i can't really remember that show too well. for some reason i think i remember he wasn't really that into it that night (i think the rumor was that he was sick??)

i did see him that year at wavehouse in san diego and it was pretty awesome still

WOW! You didnt like Latin America!? I find that to be one of his most eclectic and well rounded compilations. Los Angeles was good too but quite dark. Ibiza started his downward spiral, 'poppy' for lack of a better word but good nonetheless. 7 was utter crap.

well worth the wait for the announcement! awesome! it's been a while since i have seen them.

just wondering out of curiosity, do you know ahead of time which 2 will be here, or is it kind of a last minute decision?

I think that's up to A&B. Paavo is the one who is almost always there, so I'm sure you can count on him to be one of the two.

I'm happy to hear they're getting the Tabernacle treatment, you guys are in for an awesome night I'm sure!

cool. yeah, i think paavo and jono have been here the past 2 times.

it is pretty crazy to think they are getting the tabernacle treatment. to think 3 years ago or so (2 shows ago) it was only half full to see them at opera.

I was going to mention that. I guess gone are the days where we were able to just wander up to the dj booth and chill with them after the show like at that one. What's up with that anyways? I remember seeing Deadmau5 at Wetbar and just kind of wandering up to him and now he's selling out the Tabernacle and Above and Beyond are playing there. Times are changing I guess.

I doubt I will make it to this since I've seen them before in much more personable settings and know it's gonna be a mad house.

Posted by trancension on Feb-17-2011 03:58:

If the set length and production value are good enough, I'll probably go to this. The occasional madhouse is fun.

You won't be able to determine the set length until you've already committed. Unless you're going off the advertised set length which almost certainly won't be adhered to despite pining to the contrary that you may encounter.

Posted by trancension on Feb-17-2011 07:31:

Liquified's advertised set time/length has only been noticeably off once from the shows I've attended. 29 of 30 roughly as advertised...pretty good track record. So I'll factor the advertised set length into my decision like I always do.
