In particular people with RME and Digidesign audio interfaces had the issue apparently. I'll have to do testing again to see if it's really gone now. ( i tested it last year )

Those "soundcards" (they shouldn't even be called that as they are absolute turd), do nothing more than act like nice tight bottleneck in your computer's processing of audio.

Thats combined with the fact that I highly doubt you have optimized XP
for music, and that you are using multiple instances of inserts (linking inserts does nothing for efficiencey), rather than sends means you're probably getting about 40% less out of your PC than you should be.

Buy stable, well performing soundcard (can even be cheap) and that will give you the biggest increase instantly.

Then optimize XP for music (I'll post them again if needed) and start using sends.

Honestly, I don't know why it's easier to get blood out of a rock than have people figure out that using a $3 soundcard *might* be the problem.

A $3 soundcard? Where? The cheapest one I've found is a SoundBlaster at Staples for $15.00. If I could get a cheaper soundcard that'd be great!

I used 16 z3tas merely for the purpose of testing my new system, not for making a bassline.
There was a thread a few months before that where I said I can *sometimes use between 4-6 synths on a bass (sometimes 8 but I also said they're all not even bass sounds, just sounds that play with the bass such as drones or what have you). I started fucking around like that mainly after watching the tyas video where he had 6 layers and was trying to get a "new" or "huge" sound.
I since found you need a fuckload of experience to layer cleanly and went back to using mainly 2-3 for my mid, 1-2 for my sub.

I too felt bad but it sort of was like a dresden firebombing. Sometimes people need a little medicine or figurative bitch slap. I don't even dislike robby that much. Takes way too much energy but when someone starts being a little bitch and you have something to make them shut up, it is hard to refrain.

I do not post in the PF "everday" and never did. Ask someone who actually pays attention and also go check my post county history. You will see for the last 2 years minimum, I've made it a habit of posting for a week or two, then leaving for a week or 2.

This is because of my job. Its sales. I usually get 1 big job a month which takes a week or two of my time. I work like 14 hours a day, then get a couple weeks off and come back here. My post counts clearly show that. I OFTEN take vacations from here, and I'm glad you mention that when its most convenient for your own argument.

Anyways this was my version of what happened in that thread:

M4B dribbles some self obsessesed bs, oversteps boundaries, I call him out. He never comes back.

DJ Rann comes in to defend him. I call DJ Rann out and make you look like a fool (of course you're not going to admit to it but anyone who reads the thread except you and M4B will clearly see that).
