Lynzi, I don't think you're the one who has broken up the family, it's his actions that have caused this - it would be like blaming his wife for the break-up, if she now chose to file for a divorce! If you had not told his wife and there had not been any consequences, who's to say he would not have met someone else. Maybe he only got the chance to start going out with you behind his family's back, after the last woman he was with also decided to keep quiet. The longer the duplicity is kept up, the more shit is amassed to hit the fan, which it will inevitably do.

i will say that linsay shouldn't have posted this subject for all to see but you're a douche for getting involved.

Posted by Lynzi007 on Mar-17-2011 00:30:

Agreed - I shouldn't have posted it... extremely bad form.

Posted by srussell0018 on Mar-17-2011 00:30:

Why does it matter if he posted who it was? She did in the first place. Granted, it's none of his business, but those who knew the couple would probably know eventually anyways, and those who don't know them shouldn't care.

This whole thread is fucking ridiculous and pointless...

Posted by Adamo on Mar-17-2011 00:31:

i disagree...

if he's friends with her, there is no reason for him not to get involved.

It would be completely different if the mistress was whoring out and was *aware* of the marriage, but in this case, she doesnt present it as such.

I would have told the wife. She has a right to know that her husband is a lying man-whore who has no respect or concern for his family. The wife can take the information, and then have the opportunity to stay or leave as she sees fit. Its the cheaters fault, period.

How about we dig deeper..living a double life is an illness, he prob. needs help.

So let him battle his demons...when there is kids involved, as put above me "Bad peace is better than good war."...you dated a guy for one year..ok I get it but to go these lengths in these circumstances...not scalable to a 1 year thing.

In public? By showing everyone who the thread is about? That's retarded. If he wants to get involved, go kick the guy's ass or something, don't fucking tell everyone about it on the internet. That's just unnecessary.

Tell me, what is the positive that comes from his pointing out who it is on the internet? Satisfies your desire for gossip?

Canadians...

^^^

Might not directly be my business but he has deceived and hurt a very close friend of mine (OP) and if he's able to do that, who knows what else he has lied about.

If that's douchey, then guilty as charged.

EDIT: I'm not going to go "kick the guy's ass" a) because that doesn't solve anything and b) because I'm 5'10" and 21 years old. Let's be real here.

So confront him directly, not through a post on a web forum. It's not douchey, it's just cowardly.

Edit: And what the fuck is pointing out who it is on the internet solving? Showing that you're a pussy?

Hmmm...in any other situation I think I'd be inclined to agree with you. However, the person in question has become friends with many people on this forum through this forum.

I think people have a right to know who their friends really are.

How he behaves in his marriage or with an intimate partner is completely irrelevant to who he is as a person, or how he behaves as a friend. This was between he, his wife, and the OP, and although she shouldn't have even created this thread in the first place, someone else pointing out who it is is beyond stupid. Regardless of who he's friends with, it is still not his business.

How is that so hard to understand? How many people on here have ever cheated on a girlfriend? Start the witch hunt now.

I saw it. You said it wouldn't solve anything. What exactly were you solving by pointing out who he is on a web forum? The mystery of how much of an asshole you can be?

Post on a forum after taking care of it offline???

Not while there is a set of balls swinging between by quads.

EDIT: Had she had noway to reach him or confront him, his wife etc...then conveying her msg direct or indirect online as a final medium could be just.

lol I just re-read that and I agree. What I meant is that yes, that was an incredibly shitty thing of him to do, and I think we can all agree on that. However, that shouldn't lead anyone to believe that he's a bad friend or anything of that nature. The two are unrelated. People make mistakes, and regardless of who is at fault, it should remain the business of only the three people that it involves.
